Aurore and Roger have been married for a year now. They have not told the others yet, but Aurore is pregnant.  The two are thrilled about the little princess or prince on the way.

"May, Roger, I must say, Princess Aurore looks like she has put on quite a bit of weight these past few months," Alice says.

"Yes, she is rather plump now that you mention it," Katharine agrees.

"It is not proper to talk about Her Majesty's weight so stop it at once," Roger rebukes them.

Princess Aurore rolls her eyes at them. Prince Roger laughs. "I suppose we owe you all an explanation as to my beautiful wife's change in her appearance, well, she and I are expecting a little one any day now,"  Prince Roger announces.

The others gasp in surprise.  "I knew it all along," Andrew remarks.

"You did not," Katharine teases him by playfully shoving him.

Alice and the others are happy for the prince and princess. They know the royals will soon be the king and queen of the kingdom. It is only right that their heir should be the next in line for the throne as the princess or prince whichever the case may be.

Princess Aurore and Prince Roger celebrate their good news with a nice party.  After the party, Alice cleans up while Katharine and Andrew are talking outside.  "If I didn't know any better my dear, our friends Katharine and Andrew are planning something big,"  Prince Roger says.

"Oh, you do not think those two plan to find other employment, do you?" Prince Aurore asks.

"No, I believe it is much simpler than that my darling. I believe those two plan to marry each other," Prince Roger answers.

"Wow, that would be rather splendid now wouldn't it?" Aurore says.

A few days later, Prince Aurore, who was far along in the pregnancy, felt her water break. "Roger, oh, Roger dear?" She calls out.

   "Yes, my darling?" He asks.

"Send for the royal doctor whoever it is that helps with these sorts of things, the baby is coming,"  She says.

Roger fetches  Ana, the royal nursemaid. The lady immediately arrives at the palace and enters the royal bed chambers.  She sees Aurore in labor pains and immediately assists in whatever way she may. She looks at Roger. "Hey, Your Highness, find me some fresh linens to catch the baby in will ya?" She tells him.

Prince Roger brings the items requested and hands them to her. Ana tells Aurore to push hard. Aurore does as Ana says and the baby girl is born. She has Aurore's blonde hair, and Roger's brown eyes.  "What shall we name her?" Aurore asks.

"How about we name her Rose?"  Roger suggests.  "Sure, sounds good to me.  Hey, there our little rose,"  Aurore says.

Some fairies arrive at the castle, one gives Princess Rose the gift of singing, the next the gift of beauty, the next the gifts of kindness and compassion, and the last gives her courage for her gift.

The wicked fairy locked away for her crimes against Aurore and the wicked family in the past is not happy to be uninvited again. She remains locked away with no way to cause problems because all her magic was taken away from her, and she was stripped of her youth.

Everyone agrees that Rose is a proper name for the new princess who is so fair-skinned, and cute.   They all hope that someday Rose will have a nice story, one to call her own.

         The end...
