I befriended the new kid yesterday. I don't think this friendships gonna last long. I can never seem to keep anyone.
As I walk past by the girl I call my mom unconscious in the couch I feel disgusted I'll never be like her I say to myself. As I attempt to leave the house to go to work she raises her head "Sarah?" My mom says "Sarah?" I repeat confused "Mom my names Bell" "Where are you going dress like that are you off to give your body to men huh?!" I feel my eyes starting water a bit but I just wipe it away. Don't cry I repeat to myself. "No" I say coldly and walk out the house. I have to work to pay the bills our land lord takes it easy on us since she knows it's just me. I walk to the grocery shop as I go to the back to put down my things and clock in I check my phone
Ace: where are you?
Bell: I'm at work don't you have other friends or something
Ace: Work? Why are you working and no I don't these kids are not it at all.
Bell : I have to work bye
Ace: Where?
Bell: The grocery shop across from cvs
Ace: You didn't answer my question sweetheart why?
Bell: I need to for my mom
Ace: aw are you tryna buy her a gift
Bell: No I need to pay rent
Ace: woah your already paying rent and your not even out of high school yet your such a big girl.

He's so annoying only if he knew the situation I was in he wouldn't be joking like this. I work for 8 hours as I pick up my stuff and go to the exit I see a familiar car. Isn't that Leo's car I say to myself. I remember this because yesterday after detention there was only 1 car in the parking lot it was his he offered to drive me home but I denied the offer. I see Leo step out his car. "Leo what are you doing here" "I decided to leave school and come here I asked your coworker when you came off and they told me so I waited in my car for you" "Why?" As he drops me off at my house he notices my neighbor hood and how small and dull my house is. "You sure this is where you live I didn't make the wrong turn did I?" He says genuinely confused. "Nope this is my home" "oh well can I meet your mom?" "Uh um" I don't wanna say no but I don't wanna say yes she probably passed out on the couch or smoking drinking beers I don't want him to see my mom like that but I don't want to not let him since he drove me home. "Sure" I say reluctantly. I open my door with shaky hands scared how my mom will react. She's in the couch watching tv no beer but a cigarette that's a bit better than my thoughts. Dammit I forgot how messy my house is I'm so embarrassed. "Hello Ms.Chavez" he says in a happy tone. I know he notices the stench and how dirty my house is. "Who's this?" My mom say's interested. "He's-" I go to introduce him but I'm cut off by my mom "ohh I see it's a boy you sold your body to your such a whore Ava I knew you sold your body to pay the rent I don't want you fucking your men in this house". I was so embarrassed I wanted to cry. "No mom-" I try to keep my cool but I can feel the tears. "No mom I-i" I repeat "I don't sell my body he's just I friend I wanted to introduce you to." I say trying not to let them see my real emotion. "Yeah yeah whatever go away I'm trying to watch tv and while your at it go grab me a beer" I glance of to Leo in embarrassment and he's staring at my mom seems like anger I cannot tell I walk over to Leo and push him out my house softly whispering a sorry. As I enter my room and check my phone I see a text from ace
Ace: Come with me
Bell: sorry you had to hear that I swear I don't sell my body my mom's just not in the head and what do you mean come with you?
Ace: I'm outside I want you to come with my somewhere
Bell: Where?
Ace: A surprise
Bell: I don't like surprises
Ace: Don't make me drag you out that place you call home.
What does he mean the place I call home. That's rude but true. I wipe my eyes and nose after crying of embarrassment and disappointment I can't believe my mom said that and told me that. I walk passed my mom she didn't remove her eyes from the tv. I exit the house to see aces car out side. He rolls down the window "Get in I'm kidnapping you" I laugh and get in "so where are we going?" "I can't tell you I'm kidnapping you" "Come on Leo tell me" "Gun range"
