In a universe where there are no walls, no titans, and no war to fight in, they are students at the local college: Trost University. While studying in the rather crowded library for an upcoming exam, you hear the sound of books sliding on the table and a gruff voice say, "I'm taking this seat." Hanji had wide, light brown eyes and shoulder length dark brown hair that she often kept tied up in an unkempt high ponytail with bangs parted down the middle. She had glasses on and baggy pants and a baggy sweater on.

"Hi there!" She said happily, and that pissed Levi off. Why was she so calm? Who the hell was she? Levi's focus is immediately broken by the girl in front of him. Her bubbly demeanor is an instant contrast to his personality. He looks over her with a sharp gaze, taking in all her intricate details. Her glasses are cute. Her sweater, baggy though it may be, brings out her curves. Her eyes, brown. Not grey like his own. His lips form a cold snarl. "This seat is mine."

"Why don't you sit across from me?"

She said with a smile, she had an eyepatch on under her glasses. She seemed suspiciously kind. It creeped him out, he scowled at her. He crosses his arms and studies her more, curious. He is slightly intrigued... "What's up with that eyepatch? Trying to look cool or something? It isn't Halloween yet, weirdo." "Oh, just an accident, and I'm aware it isn't Halloween! Anyways, I'm Hanji Zoe, what about you??"

Her accident makes his mind wander even more. She seems so upbeat, despite having a scar that she so nonchalantly referred to as an accident. He's fascinated. "Levi Ackerman. Your eyepatch looks quite intimidating. As opposed to you, of course." Hanji huffed, ignoring his comment. "Anyways, are you new here?" She asked, smiling up at him brightly.

He is caught off guard with her question, but smirks with slight amusement. "New here? What do you mean? I'm a senior." He said coldly. Hanji's jaw dropped. Hanji gasped dramatically. "SENIOR!?" A librarian hushed her loudly and she pouted. "Sorry! A senior? I've never seen you before! You're so...tiny."

Levi's eyes narrow as he watches her make a scene. He doesn't appreciate the librarian drawing attention to him, but he finds the girl quite charming with her dramatic gasp and the way she blurts things out. In typical Levi fashion, he can't help but be blunt even with the girl. He crosses his arms, clearly irritated with her comment.

"Watch your mouth, shitty-glasses. I am five foot three. How tall are you? Six feet?" "Actually, I'm five foot seven. Jeez, did ya forget to drink your milk as a kid?" She asked, clearly teasing him. He hated her already. She was talkative and annoying and so stupidly cute. Levi's lips curl into a slight snarl at her teasing, but he can't help but be amused by her. She's a brat. Levi isn't one to admit it, but he finds her adorable and he hates that he does. He's not going to let her see that though.

"I drank plenty. I just grew up in the Underground." He murmurs. "Did your parents forget to tell you to shut up?" Hanji laughed, she looked back at him. "Someone's feisty, no? Wanna be friends?" A wave of annoyance washes over him at her offer, but it's immediately replaced by curiosity. For some odd reason, he wants to see how far she will go with her annoying personality and teasing.

He snarls and looks at her. "Why would I want to be friends with someone like you? You're obnoxious." Hanji pouted. "You obviously don't have friends..." Now she has really pushed his buttons, and he is officially annoyed. "And you make too many assumptions."

He crosses his arms and narrows his eyes at her. He hates being talked to like this, but he wants to know if she will keep it up. A part of him is secretly enjoying the back-and-forth banter. "Well, I'm sorry I'm so curious about a short depressing man!"

He takes a deep breath. This girl has such a big mouth, she can keep talking him right into a tantrum. He tries to control his temper, but he quickly grows angry with how she keeps going, especially with the comment about his height.

"I'm not depressing. And you're right. I don't have any friends. Because I don't need them."

"You certainly need milk and sunshine."

"Will you shut your damn mouth?"

"Only if we become friends!"

"Will you shut it if I agree?"

"Yup!"

"....Fine."

"YAY!"
