Xavier One Shot #1 (Karen Claude)

"Claude.. I'll buy you some comfy flipflops." Seiya helped me sit on the park bench then ran towards the convenience store. I looked at my wristwatch, and its already 6PM. Light is getting swallowed by the darkness. My eyes focused on the man leaning by the lamp post on my far right end. Seiya went to the store on my left. The man looked at me like I am his target with sure strides. Next thing I know, I am tackling the man as I pull him by his hair, towards the shadowy part of the park.

6:03PM.

My watch shows me. I feel like watching myself on a screen. Doing things I won't do. Hearing things I won't usually say.

"If you wont tell me who you are and what you are and why you are looking at me, you'll die in this very spot, mister by the lamp post." I heard myself say. I am talking. It's me who's talking to the man.

"You dont have to know. A girl like you can't be that strong."

i gave him a sweet smile. "You are right." i nodded.

The man smirked as I agreed to his words. My smile turned to a grin as i roamed my eyes around the wooded area of the park. I looked at my watch again.

06:04PM.

The convenience store is packed so Seiya may be gone for another 5 minutes.

You have enough time, Claude.

I picked up a medium sized rock, and for sure I am just a girl, the rock felt so large against my hands.

"You never asked your employers what their problem about me?" I curiously asked him. Looking at the ground, contemplating on how I will end him.

"The bounty is big, so I just need to subdue or kill a small girl." Blabbing himself out. "they say I can use the blonde guy against you."

i looked at the guy with wide eyes. "Seiya?"

"What the fuck is wrong with your eyes?" he tried crawling away from me. Isnt he afraid of me when I literally dragged him to this place and just began to be afraid of me because of how I looked at him now?

"whatever that blonde guy's name. I don't care. They only want a Karen Claude dead."

My steps quicken as he crawls faster away from me.

"You plan on hurting Seiya?" I bashed the rock on his head. He stopped moving, but i can see his shallow fast breathing as he turns to loo at me and try to lunge at me.

"As much as I want to feel your warm blood on my hands, I can't." dusting of the soil on my hands, I leaned forward to whisper. "I like impressing Seiya with my pastel colored outfits. He said I look good with pastel yellow or blue." I giggled as I turned my hands into fist and hit his face with a skull crushing punch.

06:08PM.

"If you still want to live, stop doing that job, instead, join me, mister." with a sweet smile I waved goodbye to the man lying on the ground trying to follow my moves. "You don't want to die in this cold, dark place, yeah?"

I went back to the park bench Seiya left me to sit.

06:09PM

I saw him holding a large paperbag.

"I bought you ice cream also. give me your feet Claude, i will  remove your shoes." he held my feet and used his knees to be my platform. gently removing my shoes, he neatly put it inside the paperbag and took out the cute bunny flip flops he bought while I enjoy eating the ice cream. I smiled as he kissed the top of both my foot.

"Stop wearing those shoes." His gentle voice made my smile wider.

"Yes, Seiya." I nodded as I offered him a lick of my popsicle.
