You were one of the stunts people on set on Jodie's new film, you were the stunt for the main female character of the movie. You loved what you did especially with all the risk to it, and you loved working on big set movies like this. However this one was different, not so much in a good way. Jodie, the director of the movie, was your ex. There was no proper relationship, no label to anything but you still connected in a way. It pained you everyday to see her face knowing you could not feel her touch anymore, listen to her soft whispers late at night and the sweet kisses she placed all over your skin.
Today you were doing a stunt where you had to crash into a window. You were being set up in your harness waiting for Jodie's thumbs up to give you the all good to go. "You ready y/n?"
You gave her a thumbs up and you could imagine her rolling her eyes which bought a small smile to your face and before you knew it you were pulled back in the harness through a the window, smashing through it and landing in the pile of glass, Jodie calling 'cut' when she got the all clear from you. Two of the stunt team rushed over to you to help you out of all the equipment. You pushed yourself up accidentally cutting your hands on the small shards of glass. "Right that's lunch everyone, great work so far today guys."
You clasped your hands together in pain trying to hide it on your face as you headed back from to your trailer. "Fuck it." You winced and as you ran your hands under the running tap, as you heard a knock at the door. "It's open." You yelled at whoever was on the other side before trying to wipe clean your hands with kitchen roll, still wincing in pain.
"You know you should really put some anti-septic cream on that." You turned around at the familiar voice to see Jodie stood in your doorway.
"Well I don't have any."
Jodie rolls her eyes as she walks up to you. "Take a seat on the sofa.' She tells you as she follows you digging into her back pocket as she takes a seat next to you, taking out the cream from her back pocket.
"You still carry that around with you?"
"I always have a mini first aid kit on hand, it's like habit still from when we- just shut up okay, and just let me help you." She placed her hand out for you, you took it placing both your hands palms facing upwards on her knees. "You'd think as a stunt person you'd take better care of yourself or know simple first aid."
"Meh it's never harmed me before."
"God i hate that 'meh' stuff"
"What do you mean you hate the 'meh' stuff? What does the 'meh stuff' even mean?"
"You not giving a shit about your health. You know you've still even got a little bit of glass in here."
