Gabriela Senna's POV:

Thankfully, both the qualifying and the race turned out to be a great success for Carlos. McLaren seemed to be heading in the right direction, and the positive momentum was palpable. After the race, I swiftly flew to Barcelona and managed to pack up everything in just two days. With minimal furniture and clutter, the process was quick, allowing me to say goodbye to my old life in Spain.

I decided to throw a farewell dinner at my apartment, inviting Ana and our friends to celebrate before my departure. Ana seemed sad to see me leaving for the UK, but we promised to keep in touch and visit each other whenever possible.

As I boarded the plane to London, excitement bubbled within me. Returning to my second home filled me with a sense of anticipation. Upon landing, I was greeted by the familiar faces of Lily, Sarah, and James, who were waiting for me at the airport exit. Without hesitation, I ran to them, enveloping them in tight hugs. I had missed my best friends dearly.

"I missed you guys so much," I exclaimed, feeling a rush of warmth at their presence.

"We missed you too," Lily replied, her smile infectious.

"Hey, did you get a little bit tanned?" James quipped, noticing a change in my appearance.

"Maybe a little. I spent some time in the south of France," I explained, feeling grateful for their attentiveness.

"You look amazing," Sarah chimed in, her eyes sparkling with affection.

Together, we made our way to my apartment, where I couldn't help but express my fondness for the familiar surroundings. Settling onto the couch, I savored the feeling of being reunited with my friends.

"We missed having you around," James said, his voice filled with sincerity.

"Aw, James," I replied, pulling him into a hug.

"You're all invited over to our house for dinner. Michelle's cooking up a storm," James announced, excitement lacing his words.

"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world. And I've missed my Milo-Bilo," I said, referring to James and Michelle's son.

"He's grown so much since you last saw him," Lily remarked, her eyes twinkling with pride.

"Oh, I am a proud aunt," I said.

"I can't believe it's been since March since we last saw you," Sarah said, a hint of sadness in her voice.

"Yeah, time flies," I agreed, feeling a pang of nostalgia.

"The conversation soon turned to Carlos and racing, with Sarah expressing her protective instincts over me in the paddock.

"Nobody messes with our Gabriela," Lily teased, and we all laughed.

Then, James departed to help Michelle with dinner preparations.

"Is Carlos also coming over?" Lily asked.

"No, he is now in Woking, doing some sim," I said.

"Sim? What is the sim?" Sarah asked. I completely forgot that my friends had limited knowledge about racing.

"It's just a shortened version of simulation. He is preparing himself for Austria." I explained.

"I am so excited for Silverstone," Lily said.

"Yeah me too," I said.

"Guys, I don't think I will make it to Silverstone," Sarah said.

"What? Why?" I asked a little bit sad.
