Lennon approached the house. He walked to a window and carefully peeked inside. Noone was there. He gave the door a little kick, and to his surprise it opened. He pushed it opened and examined the house. Lennon's muddy shoes stained the ground, and left marks, but he didn't care.

He went to check the kitchen first. Noone there. The bathroom. Noone. After he searched the whole lower floor of the house, he saw the stairs. With loud thuds on each stair he walked up. He pushed open the door to Evelyn's room, but... Empty. "Fuck!" Lennon cursed, and sat down on Evelyn's bed. He would wait for her.

Two hours had passed and there was still no sign of anyone approaching the house. Lennon looked at the clock. It said 1:42. He left Evelyn's room and walked down the stairs. He had changed his mind. He had decided to search for her on his own.

He left the house, not bothering to close the door. He began walking up the street he had come from earlier, looking at every corner there was. He searched, even tho he didn't have any hope of finding something or someone. He didn't care either. It had begun to rain while he was in Evelyn's room. The sound of raindrops hitting stone and leaves filled the air. Lennon was completely soaked after just one minute.

When Lennon reached the market, he still couldn't find anyone. He was bored. Endlessly bored. "Evelyn, come out", he said into the darkness. The only light source were the stars and the moonlight. "Don't be scared, I don't bite." he said again, not expecting an answer. And as expected there was none.

Lennon stopped walking and looked up to the moon. There were footsteps, somewhere from far away. "Probably Adeliah" Lennon thought to himself, before realization hit him. Adeliah had left the village, and there were no plaster stones outside of the village, only dirt and that didn't make the sound of stone.

He abruptly turned around and listened. The footsteps came closer. Lennon rushed to a dark corner. He waited. A couple minutes passed, without anyone coming by. The footsteps kept getting louder tho. Then he saw her; Evelyn. Soaked in water, her crown braid now completely gone, due to the heavy rain. She walked under the nearest roof, to save her from the rain. Evelyn's back was turned to Lennon. That was his chance.
