Dravid was pacing his office, the weight of the recent events heavy on his mind. The constables entered, their faces tense.
"We have Bumrah in the interrogation room, sir," one of the constables reported. Dravid stopped to look at them.
"Good. How is the boy in the hospital?" Dravid asked.
"He's stable. Nothing too serious. They'll move him to a room by tomorrow," the constable replied.
"Question him once he's stable. A shooting in a major mall like this is unacceptable. How did they even manage to get inside?" Dravid demanded, frustration evident in his voice.
"Sir, I think you can't do much in this case. Your first case itself is a major headache," Ravi, Dravid's subordinate, interjected hesitantly.
"Do you know something I don't?" Dravid asked, narrowing his eyes at Narain.
"The man in our interrogation room is the right hand of Mr. Gambhir," Ravi explained.
"You mean the business tycoon? The kingmaker?" Dravid asked, his eyebrows raising in surprise.
"Yes, sir," Ravi confirmed.
"And who is the boy in the hospital?" Dravid asked, leaning forward with intense curiosity.
"That's still a mystery. We've never seen him associated with the family or in any cases," Ravi admitted, lowering his head slightly.
"He's not part of the gang, certainly. His hands have never held a gun, "Then who is he?" Dravid stated, thinking aloud.
"Someone that Bumrah was ready to die for," Ravi replied, his voice heavy with intrigue and concern. "
"We need to find out everything about this boy. His connection to Bumrah, and by extension, to Gambhir, could unravel a lot." Dravid said.
"I'll get our best men on it, sir. We'll find out who this boy is and why he's so important," Ravi assured him.
"Good. And keep a close watch on Bumrah. He's the key to understanding this whole situation," Dravid instructed, returning to his pacing as he tried to piece together the puzzle.
The constables nodded and left the room, leaving Dravid to mull over the strange turn of events. The shooting, the mysterious boy, and Bumrah's fierce loyalty all pointed to a deeper, more complex story that needed to be uncovered.
Gambhir was in the midst of a crucial meeting with his business partners when Raina's phone vibrated. It was unusual for Raina to take calls during meetings unless it was critical. Sensing the gravity of the situation as Raina's expression darkened, Gambhir decided to wrap up the meeting.
"Gentlemen, something urgent has come up. We've covered the major points. We can discuss the remaining details via video conferencing," Gambhir announced, maintaining his composure.
As Gambhir left the room, he saw Raina still on the phone, his face tense. Once Raina ended the call and stepped out, Gambhir confronted him.
"What happened?" Gambhir demanded.
"Natasha and Athiya were ambushed by shooters at the mall," Raina reported.
"Are they safe?" Gambhir asked, his voice edged with concern.
"Yes, they are safe," Raina confirmed.
Gambhir let out a breath, but Raina's hesitation told him there was more.
"What else?" Gambhir asked, his voice tightening.
"They took Ishan as well. He's in the hospital with a head injury," Raina said.
