I'm going to give some of my headcanons before ya'll go one, so you understand.

1- Countries that were colonized by the great European powers, (British Empire, K.O.F., Imperial Spain, Etc...) don't really view them as parents, either colonizers or sibling-dynamic.

2-NO SHIPS IN THIS STORY. (Not really a headcannon but eh...)

3-North and South America's Native Kingdom's are thier parents. Clearly over time thier relationship with the tribes and kingdoms (Ex: Aztec Empire) has deteriorated, (Turtle Island with Canada and USA * CoUgH cOuGh *-) some trying to get rid of thier cultures entirely, but some made up with thier parents and they still see them as thier... Children..? (They were in the first place- but eh...) No, not every North American tribe is Canada's or America's parent or related, just the personification of Turtle Island.

4-All different native tribes (/Kingdoms) of North (and south) America are represented by different personification in this story. So theres a personification for Haudenosaunee, Cherokee, etc. There is though Turtle Island, (Canada's, America's, mother) but she represents the land, not the ppl.

5-Philippines had her provinces pop up during all the years of her colonization just like America during his western expansion, (In my AU Colonial Spain/Pain isn't her father) so the Philippine provinces know the states.

6-B.E. and Britain aren't the same person. Britain did come along for some of the colonizing trips  tho :)

7-Imperial Spain isn't the same person as Spain/Pain today.

8- It's basically a repeat of the 7 and 8 exept Belguim did colonize DR of Congo. (I doubt I'll ever mention them in this book.)

9- So USA was once had 2 other siblings. Let me explain; so in the 13 colonies, there was 3 divisions. New England (Soon to be USA or the North.), Middle Colonies (I'll refer to him as Breadbasket.) and Southern Colonies. (CSA, or the soon to be Confederacy.)

10- (Continuing 9) When the civil war rolled around, uh... To sum it up, North got mad at South and they started a war against eachother, Breadbasket stayed neutral dispte most of the wars being fought in his land. Then somehow Breadbasket dissapeared and North blamed South and North killed South later.

11- Subdivisons age slower than countries. By alooooot. (subtle foreshadowing???)

Idk if anyone will actually read this- (;'༎ຶٹ༎ຶ')

Oh well.

Headcanons of the states:

1-Iowa is mute, comuinicating in ASL. (American Sign Language) She can hear though, she's not deaf.

2-During the superbowl time period, the state have to promise not to kill eachother or make fun of a team's loss, or there will be concequences. This doessn't regester in some states heads though.

3-Ohio, Florida, and Texas, are what the other states call the misery kids. It's because they cause misery and trouble.

4-Texas is banned from the gun cabinet and the gun room.

5-Nevada and Hawaii glow green in the dark. This is because Nevada is the US testing site for NUKES and Hawaii got Pearl Harbor.

6-New York doesn't like airplanes.

7-Tennessee really hates the 'You're the only ten I see' jokes, he hit Indiana after she pushed too hard.

8-Oklahoma is a pro at hide n' seek. He was hiding for 3 months and no one found him until they found him talking to a bison in the woods.

9-Maine and Marlyand fight over which is better; Lobster or Crab. Maryland threw old bay at Maine and he retaliated with piling snow on her. They are no longer on speaking terms.

10-Wisconsin likes cheese. He's not obsessed like Georgia and Idaho though.

11-Virginia is the oldest state because she was the first to enter as a colony, but all states were personified when they entered the union exept Alaska, California, Vermont and Texas. Cali, Vermont, and Texas were countries before but lasted a short time before being addmitted. Alaska was sold to the US too, so yea. They were personified.

12-Hawai'i was taken from K.o.H. (Kingdom of Hawai'i) when she was really young, so she doesn't remember much of it.

13-Philippines got to know some of the states during her colonization, and her personal favorite is Nevada.

14-The og 13 like to re-enact Hamiltion from time to time, New Hampsire memorizing almost all of the characters lines.

15-Michigan still holds a small grudge towards Ohio from the Toldeo war. (Dispute of land prohibiting Michigan from joining the union.)

16-Kansas still has scars from Bleeding Kansas. She has on accross the left side of her hairline, and a horizontal one on her upper back.

17-D.C. feels a bit left out at times, even more than Wyoming sometimes.

18- The territories doesn't live in the American household. They knows about them, coming to visit every once in a blue moon. (When I first started the story, I incuded the territories, but now, I've changed it up so if you fing a line mentoning or refering to the territories pls tell me :))

19- All states are multilingual, them all knowing English, Spanish, and French to an extent. (Not all fluent.) And then some states will know widespread languages such as Tagalog, Vietnamese, Russian, German, Etc.. To an extent. (Again fluency varies from state to state..) And then they know atleast some of the native languages to an extent. The older the state, the more languages they know.

20-West Virginia is younger than Virginia, they are not twins at all.

21-Not all states are related. I'm not going into detail but the states that came from Mexico are related, the first 13, and so on.

Twins:

North Carolina and South Carolina

South Dakota and North Dakota

Yea that's it.
