Chapter 3

After leaving my meeting with the Queen, I meet in a dining hall where I greet my team.
"Hey, you guys!"
The group of people chattering turn his way and the light pink-haired knight starts to wave their hand
"Hey, Tsukasa!"
Akito buts in speaking over Mizuki.
"What did the Queen say?"
"I'm getting there, don't worry."
I took a moment to breathe in before speaking.
"The team will be doing a long-term mission!"
The girl with black hair that was ombreded to a blue spoke.
"Fucking finally it's sure been a while."
She grinned putting her arm around the girl with grey hair and light green eyes.
"Right Shiho."
Shiho slightly smiled and agreed but we all knew she was more excited than she let on.

After I explained the details everyone seemed pretty fine with it so that's great.
"Alright, we have to split ourselves up. We have an uneven amount of people since..."
I swear my throat swelled because I couldn't find myself to finish my sentence. Akito out of everyone realized what I was trying to say and spoke for me.
"...How about you stay by yourself since you're stronger than the rest of us."
That somehow brought me back and I nodded.
"Right, Akito and Shiho I want you guys to be outside the area of the shopping district in case anyone tries to go in or out."
They both silently nod in agreement
"Mizuki and An, you two will be in the shopping district with me. You'll come in from the left and I'll come from the right entrance. We all have to be there at a late 7 o'clock by then it should be dark out which gives our dear sorcerer some time to cause mayhem."
Mizuki eagerly perks up.
"I can't wait, everything we've done feels so useless for what we were trained for."
I honestly thought they would say something else given their face as I explained everything I ignored it though.
Then Akito decided to speak.
"I agree most of the things we were taught haven't gone to use since our last war."
It got a little quiet after that. I know why too we all wanted to forget the pain of losing someone close to us, someone we fought with. someone we got bruised up with. someone with such a kind soul. God, I wish I could forget with all my heart but some memories can't be erased...not even painful ones.
