Chapter 12. Arrow Of Orion

Riveria was sitting in her room and had a slight scowl on her face as she was drinking tea.

It's only been a hour since the festival and she saw Goddess Artemis hug bell and call him Orion, which she asked Loki about and she told her what it meant.

Bell was her husband. And for some reason that was really bothering her and making her chest hurt.

Riveria took a sip of her favorite tea hoping to calm down and that no one saw her march straight to her room once they came back.

"What is wrong with me, Bell already has two girlfriends" she said and felt a knot form in her stomach "now he's a goddesses husband" the knot grew more.

She didn't understand why, with part of the reason being that she's actively suppressing and denying any feelings she might have.

*knock knock* "mama elf open up, you seem really upset after I said the name of Artemis's husband and Ais is really worried" said Loki through the door.

"...it's open" she said.

Opening the door, Loki entered the room and almost immediately saw that Riveria was upset.

"Ok what's wrong?" She asked confused.

"It's nothing important" she said.

"Ya do know you can't lie to a goddess right?" Said Loki with a raised eyebrow.

"...ugh fine.. for some strange reason... my chest hurts, I know it's from pain but it just... hurts" she said.

Now Loki was very curious, in all the years she's known Riveria, she's never been like this before.

"Did it have something to do with Artemis?" She asked curiously.

"Partially..." Riveria said now feeling slightly nervous for some reason.

"So.. what happened that'd make you feel this way?" Asked Loki.

"During the festival, me, Ais and Lefiya all tried to pull a spear out of some crystals for a reward of being able to travel the world, none of us could do it, then Bell walked up" said Riveria with Loki immediately noting she called him by his first name and not family name. "He grabbed the spear and immediately pulled it out with no trouble.. that's when Artemis appeared and hugged him along with.. calling him Orion".

Loki saw the blush on her cheeks from the bold declaration, but she also saw jealousy written all over her face and that's when thoughts began to race in her mind and she decided to ask a question.

"Riveria.. do you like Bell?".

"What no of course not, I'm a high elven princess, we could never get together and he has two girlfriends" she said looking away with a look of hurt as her chest squeezed in pain.

Lokis eyes went from normal slits to insanely wide as she stared at Riveria, she just lied and she likes Bell and is denying it or doesn't know her real feelings or it's possibly both.

"In all my years.. I never thought I'd see her fall in love with someone like Bell" she thought to herself before she decided to help her child. She may annoy her a lot, but Riveria was her child and after everything she's been through, plus her father trying to force her to marry someone. Riveria deserved genuine happiness and if Bell could provide it then Loki was willing to swallow that pill and help her.
