Chapter 23. Battle For The Xenos Part 1

Bell watched as Wiene was laughing and playing with some of the other Xenos here and he couldn't help a smile from forming as he watched her play.

"She will be safe, we all protect our kind" said Luminous walking over to him and sitting a comfortable distance away from him so they can talk. "Besides, now we have a angry dad to worry about if she's hurt". A small playful grin formed on her face from her little joke.

She saw him let out a small chuckle at that, but could tell he was still very very worried, not that she could blame him. He saw Wiene as his kid and now he has to let her go and trust her with strangers.

Luminous couldn't even begin to imagine how Bell felt.

"Are other Xenos like her? Kids?" Bell asked in hopes that she can play with other kids.

"Yes, but the ones we do have are on another floor to keep them safer, which is where we all plan to soon move to" said Luminous.

"Where at?" He asked.

"In the water kingdom, one of my scouts found a hidden cavern where we can hide and be safer" she said.

Bell nodded his head at that, it made him feel better knowing she was going to be some place safer.

"I want to visit her" he said.

"I'd be angry if you didn't, don't worry, once we move to the spot and make sure no one will find us, then we shall inform you where it is exactly, so you can see Wiene" said Luminous.

Bells eyes went back to Wiene and he saw her playing with the Siren woman named Ray, before she suddenly grabbed the woman's wing gently and lead her to Bell.

"D-bell" said Wiene as she ran up to him with Ray behind her "can you tell her some hero stories?".

"Huh?" He looked up to Ray who had a small smile.

"Apologies, Wiene was telling me about stories you know and... I was curious about them" said Ray a little embarrassed "C-can you tell me one?".

Bell smiled warmly and nodded his head, which made Ray smile as she walked over and gently sat down and Bell had to take a double take at her.

Now that he was closer to her, he had to force himself to not check her out to much, given her outfit and feathers gave her... an allure that Bell couldn't place exactly.

"What story would you like to listen to Ray?" Said Bell.

"I umm... don't know any" Ray said shyly, before looking at Wiene "but she said that she knows one".

"Tell her about Argonaut" said Wiene with stars in her eyes, before she quickly climbed up and sat in Bells lap and gently placed her ear where his heart would be.

Bell smiled very warmly and gently began to pet Wienes head, before he began the tale of Argonaut.

As he told the story, lots of the Xenos in the room soon started to gather around and listen to his story. Some had looks of wonder or just curiosity, while others held a very skeptical look.

For Wiene, she was very happy right now and leaned in more to Bells pats on her head as he told the story, but a part of her really wished that Rose was here...

"Mom..." thought Wiene as a image of Rose very clearly appeared in her mind, but she also saw Zidril and Fenrys as well, plus Riveria. But Wiene didn't know the last one as well as the other two since she's only seen her picture.

Speaking of said Elf, Bell wasn't sure how Riveria would actually react to Wiene, but he had faith that his wife would accept her and learn to love her like him and the others have.
