After swenzel's call , we started packing our bags ! We had 1 bag of dad, 3 bags of mom and 2 bags full with my stuff.....
We decided to go in our car as there was no other way we could get there more easily..... And here we go.....
My grandma's house is in the village, no such castle ,no 'farmhouse' and no great mansion ! It was a simple village house that was 2 storey because years years ago my grandpa used to live in a joint family. Although grandma's house was not that massive , but it had that comfort that one needed from a house. I still don't know why we describe it as grandma's house because technically my grandpa owns it .
As we entered the village borders, I see a blue board a bit old with the words "Rajkot me apka Swagat hai " in Hindi which means ' we welcome you to Rajkot'(which is a city in Gujarat,India)
The smell of this place is mesmerising. I see kids playing in the fields, the women are already busy in their household chores, people are moving to go for offices and yes I see a few girl pulling out water from the well ! Wow this you can see only in these villages !
In around half an hr from the time I saw the 'welcome ' board we finally reach our destination...
I go running inside and bear hug my grandma .She hugs me tighter and we both have the widest smile on our faces. Soon all my cousin join us in the hug and it becomes the 'group hug ' as we call it !
Grandma knew we will be hungry and that's why she had made the best dishes that makes you even more hungry ! We have our lunch and decide to rest for some time "
In the evening we all gathered in the hall and decided to play something, it started with 'housie' and my lucky mom won it ! Then we played a series of such games for the next 3-4 hrs till everyone was finally exhausted and craved for food! Yes I know we are ' the always hungry ' kind of people :P The fun part to my vacation had started , I thought when I lay in my bed before I fell asleep.....
