SUNNY. Children playing in their backyard as their parents smiled, looking at them through the shadow of the tree. Meanwhile, in another house a couple where they're having a playful argument about something...

"Ya should rest, sweet plum," the man with long black hair said, hugging his partner's waist while kissing the temple of her forehead. "It's bad for the baby. We can't be having that, can we?"

His partner chuckled, "You're such a worrywart. I'm just going to do the laundry, nothing much," she explained, placing a hand against the head of her partner. "It's not like I'm going to have an accident or something, silly."

"Can't have that attitude, mama!" He exclaimed, carrying her. "Ya gotta have to take a rest for yer baby, too. The little guy needs to be healthy and ya too."

"You're such a sweetheart," she stated, kissing his cheek.

     "Nah, yer the sweetheart."

"Hey, darling, what is that?" She asked, looking through the window.

Countless vehicles were outside, interrogating some people about something. She then gasped when she saw one of their neighbors being shot, followed by screams and children crying in the background...

"What the..." Her partner muttered, hearing the screams and cries. He dropped what he was doing and went to his lover, carrying her, "We gotta skedaddle. Those dirtbags seem to be dangerous. Can't have ya in danger."

"But what about our house?" She asked. "You told me you spent five years saving for this..."

"I'll buy ya another one, sugar. Can't lose ya if I don't be careful," he said as he took his purse and went to the backdoor of their house to leave the place. "Do ya trust me?"

"O-Of course, I do." She stammered as another shot was heard.

She looked behind, but her lover grabbed her head, "Now, listen to me. Don't look at the bad side, it brings nothing but bad emotions for our baby. We'll be fine." He assured, caressing her head. She nodded, "Good. Now, let's get out of here."

They live on the outskirts of the city, far away from the chaos happening. However, if you look at the couple, they look delighted as if nothing bad is happening on their planet...

But, "Hey... Sweetie!" She called, clutching her stomach. Her lover immediately looked through the window, seeing her in pain as she clutched the laundry liner for support, "I think my water broke."

"Sun of a gun," he muttered. He rushed towards her and placed her arm around his shoulder, "Yer going into labor now?"

She nodded frantically, but she understood why he looked terrified. The hospitals and other important facilities are under the surveillance of whatever is conquering their world. He couldn't rush her to it, so he gotta think of something...

He then led her back to the house, "Heard from the old man I was born in a bathtub since the mid-wife didn't show up on my mother's labor. Think I gotta use that method for our baby," he told her.

"Is that why you're not in the right head?" She jested a little but winced as she was placed in the tub.

"Ain't gonna deny that, darling," he hummed as he helped her get ready. "Now's the time to get serious. Just take yer time, I'll be here to support ya as yer other half. 'Kay, honey?"

An infant lights the whole house they're in as they spoil with love and care, as any normal parent would. Coos and soft cries would always be heard, but it's also followed by a soft lullaby from the mother or funny noises from the father in an attempt to calm the baby...

"Mama, I'm home!" He yelled, his hands occupied with shopping bags.

His partner opened the windows and her eyes lit up from the sight, she immediately opened the door and ran to him. "Oh, you're safe!" She sobbed a little, worried. "I thought you got in trouble."

"Nah, yer almighty husband is safe and sound 'cause I'm strong!" He said, kissing her nose. "Geez, now who's the worrywart between us now?" He teased.

She jabs his chest, "It's difficult these days... Heard from the news a lot of people got shot down for no reason," she told him with a terrified look. "I don't want us to be next."

"Don't ya worry, angel. I'm your protector, ain't I?" He assured, kissing her cheek. "Ain't letting anything happen in this family."

Shreds. He came home, looking in horror as he watched their shared home into shreds. It was burning, seemingly blown up by something—probably from those bastards from the ▓▓▓...

He ran inside the house despite the suffocating black smoke and raging fiery flames, "▓▓▓▓! ▓▓▓▓!" He called, covering his nose as he ventured deep within the burning home. "▓▓▓▓! Please, answer me!"

"▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓?" A meek voice called, coming under the dining table. He rushed to the kitchen to see his wife having their daughter in her arms, wrapped in a wet blanket as it cried, "Please, leave! Take her with you!" She begged.

"Can't leave ya!" He said, trying to carry her but somehow something was not right. He looked at her right leg to see it was stuck between the fallen debris of the ceiling.

He started sobbing, knowing he couldn't save his wife. He promised, he truly did, that he wouldn't leave her till life ended with death. His wife placed a hand on his cheek, wiping his tears with a soft smile on her face...

"It's alright, love. It's alright," she assured while placing their baby in his arms. "Just keep her safe. For me, alright?"

"I love you so much. And, I'm sorry," he whispered before rushing out of the house with the crying baby in his arms.

He looked behind him as he ran and ran away from the burning house he once called home. He wants to return, to try and save his lover. Just give him a chance to not lose the mother his daughter deserves...

However, he knew what her eyes meant when she looked at him the last time. It's as if saying:

"Leave me and don't look back. Protect our daughter, don't mind the debris on my leg. Just run and run away, far from this flaming home." Then followed with her sweet look, saying, "Thank you for loving me and treating me as someone irreplaceable in your life."

TEVYAT
TIME: 10:07 AM

A ginger-haired woman gasped as she woke up in a jolt. She looked around, seeing a few peers looking at her with a concerned and questioning look, "Oh, hey!" She greeted. "How it's going? Is our dearest player logging in to play with us?"

"Indeed, but you seem to be in disarray," one of her peers said, placing his gloved hand against her head. "You're burning up. Is something wrong?"

She brushed his hand off her head, "I'm alright, Xiansheng. No need to check my temperature, it's normal for me." She assured him.

     "Are you sure?"

     "Definitely!"
