The dark dirt stairs lead up, circling once, twice, and there it is. It is so plain. It looks like the metal door, but a smaller and lighter version.

The keys from the cells don't fit in the keyhole. Though opening it is easy. I jab Tuebor into the gab and it opens smoothly.

It is a stormy day; the grey blue clouds hang low in the sky, blocking out the sun.

We step outside into the daylight for the first time in ages for me. I close my eyes as I breathe in the fresh air.

Aster walked multiple meters forward and turns back to look at the building. I take my place next to him.

The building is just a concrete slab thrown onto the empty fields. Nothing remarkable about it. No clue that it could hold some of the most powerful creatures.

I guess their tactic was to hide in plain view by not making it memorable.

Further to the horizon in the fields lies a town. I guess that's where Aster came from.

I turn to him and find him already looking at the town.

''Do you want to go back there?'' I abruptly ask, referring to the town.

His eyes turn to me as he says, ''No. I have nothing there.''

He hesitates before adding in a softer tone, ''Could I... I don't know. Come with you?''

My face splits with a smile, ''Of course. I would love to show you my home.''

With that, we turn to the glorious forest. I sigh at the familiar sight. My senses get flooded with the sounds and smells.

Shouts echo behind us. My excellent hearing tells me they have found the unconscious guards and Chief is telling them to go after us.

''You said you pretended to run through the forest to escape mentally. Care to make that reality? '' Aster asks.

I nod.

And with that, we finally leave the dreaded prison behind us as we run through the treeline into the woods.
