Jaden's POV:
I open my eyes, only to be blinded immediately. As the sun blurs my view, I blindly stumble out of bed to close the curtains. At last, I can see. I get dressed in a blood red T-shirt, black skinny jeans, and a hoodie.
"Finally, a Saturday," I whisper under my breath as I walk out of my room. I walk down the stairs to the kitchen, when I hear a familiar voice.
"Morning, sleepy head!" I know that voice anywhere. Axel, my best friend.
"Wha- what are you doing here?" I groan. "It's only-" my eyes widen as I look at the time. "TWO-THIRTY P.M.!!!"
"Yea, you might wanna get ready. We were supposed to be at the arcade forty-five minutes ago," he said as he glanced at his watch.
"Okay, I'll try to hurry," I say sleepily.
How did I sleep so late, I thought I set an alarm. Did it not go off. Did I just not hear it? What if Axel hates me? I kept him waiting so long. I've been waiting for this day, but now, what if I just ruined it? I shake the thoughts away. Nobody knows that I like him, I've kept it a secret all these years I've known him. Sadly, he only likes me as a friend. I eat a bowl of cereal, and brush my teeth. I run back upstairs to grab my shoes. Hopping down the stairs, I slip on my black leather boots.Axel bursts out laughing as I tumble down the last three steps. "You ready now?" He asks me, wearing the biggest smile.
"Yea," I say while standing up and brushing off my clothes. "I think so."
"ALL RIGHT! LETS ROLL!"
Axel's POV:
On the ride to the arcade, Jaden apologized over and over about how he kept me waiting. God, he's adorable when he does that. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Did I call him adorable? No, I did not just do that. He's straight, and so am I. But, God, he looks cute with his hair undone.
I used the softest tone I could and said, "You don't have to apologize. I really don't care."
"Are you sure?"
He asked sounding so guilty, I felt bad for him. "It's really okay, I wasn't waiting that long and I really don't mind," I stated truthfully.
Finally, we arrived. As we got out of the car and walked to the entrance, me and Jaden smirked at each other. We always drove to the arcade on Saturdays. It was like a celebration of the weekend finally arriving. We loved coming to the arcade and attempting to break every top player's high score. And so, we did so. It was around five-fifteen when we left, every single game with me or Jaden in first place. We still had some downtime, so we headed to the nearest park. Me and Jaden raced along the paths, Me in the lead. I looked back to see how far ahead I was, when something dashed passed me. I realized it was Jaden. There was a bench ahead sitting with it's arms stretched wide, calling me, pleading for me to take a break.
I called out to Jaden and asked to take a break. He agreed, so we rested on the bench. I could see he was glad for the break too. He was panting so hard, that I suddenly remembered his asthma. I grabbed his wrists and raised them above his head.
"Take deep breaths, slow and steady. In, hold, now out," I repeated.
"Thanks," he said.
"Shhh, don't talk," I demanded. To my surprise, he obeyed.
And that is the first chapter! I hope you liked it. Feel free to talk about it in the comments, just no offensive words unless it is to a character in the story, and not about me or any others. Also, please tell me how to get better if I made any mistakes, so I can change them. Adios, nos vemos la proxima vez! (PS that is "Goodbye, see you next time" in Spanish)
