Jaden's POV:
"Shhh, don't talk," He said. So, I did.
He looked me straight in the eyes, worried, but also super calm. He's seen when my asthma kicks in, so he knew just how to handle it. My breathing slowly relaxed. Still holding my wrists up, I looked in his green eyes, I thought, should I kiss him? Would he pull away and tell me how crazy I am? Would he slap me?
Then, I did it. I kissed him.
His eyes widened, I closed mine. Suddenly, nothing was on my mind. I just kissed the boy I liked for years. Axel had slowly brought our hands down, no longer above my head. I pulled away quickly and apologized.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to," I said again as I stood up. I walked away as fast as I could. A million thoughts running in my head. I didn't dare look back at him. I heard footsteps running towards me, when suddenly someone grabbed my arm and pulled me close. It was Axel. Our lips met again, and I blushed hard. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. This time, the kiss lasted longer. I love the way his warm, soft lips press against mine. Both of us moving our lips in sync. Finally, I thought. Then, we both pull apart, and I'm left frozen. staring at the love of my life. Me and Axel Wolf Hartwell, just kissed. He smirked at me and I tried to hide my blushing, but I did the exact opposite. If I could blush harder than I already was, I definitely did.
"I- I love you, Axel. I always have since the day we met, when I was ten. Eight years ago. I was too shy to tell you how I actually felt, so I hid it all these years," I admitted.
I love you too, Jaden Trix Scott. I've liked you for awhile now, but I thought you would think that I was crazy," he whispered. God, I got butter flies in my stomach. The way he said my full name made me want him even more.
We walked back to the car with our hands Intertwined. This is the ultimate best feeling ever, I say in my mind. I hold his hand tight as we begin to swing our arms forward and backwards. Soon, we appear in the parking lot, when we discover that Axel locked the keys inside the car.
"I don't really know what to do. Maybe you could make a new one that we could use, with your powers," I suggested. Yea, me and Axel have powers. Axel has earth powers, and I have fire. Pretty cool right?
"I could try, but I don't know if it'll work," he stated skeptically.
"Well, do you have a better Idea?" I asked.
"Oh, we could- or maybe- what if- nope, nothin," He admitted at last.
"Thought so. There's only one way to find out!" I reassured him.
He knelt down and pressed his hand to the moist ground nearby. Roots and vines twisted together, erupted from the ground. Axel closed his eyes to concentrate. Luckily, he couldn't see me blushing. I love the way he can do that. Then, He made a figure, the shape of a key. He Plucked the key off the rest of the roots and vines where there was a thin area.
"There," He announced. "This better work"
He rose from the ground and walked to the car. We both look at each other skeptically as he pulls the key out of the keyhole. I reach for the door handle, and click, the door opens. I'm stunned, astonished, frozen. My plan actually worked! Axel climbs in and grabs the keys to unlock the other door. I walk around to the opposite side of the car and throw myself in the leather car seat.
