You're Mine

Chapter 1

Two months ago, when he took his two nephews with him to the small town of Yiling for some business matters, Lan Qiren did not expect his nine year old nephew to come back from being missing for almost half an hour with a little boy with tattered clothing a dirty face and broken boots but despite his outer appearances the young boy had the most beautiful and brightest smile on his face that made his silver grey eyes sparkle like stars during a clear night.

He and his eldest nephew made sure that his youngest nephew was fine while the other boy looked on with an amuse and curious look and smile on his face. Only then did he turn his attention to the boy standing next to his second nephew, and upon inquiring who the boy was, when his youngest nephew suddenly said.

"Mine."

His answer threw Lan Qiren and his eldest nephew off as the little boy started to laugh at his youngest nephews words. But thankfully, after the shock of the revelation wear off, he finally found out the young boys name, and he was surprised and shocked to find out who the little boy really was. At that moment, he knew that no matter what had transpired between him and Cangse, he could not leave this town without their son and leave him to fend for himself.

When he left Yiling with his two nephews and Wei Ying. That's the boys' name, and when they had  reached the Cloud Recess, he had taken the boy straight to the healing pavilion while asking one of the disciples to take his two nephews to their parents. As soon as he had entered the healers' rooms and explained about the young child, the head healer and her assistant had told him to lay the child on one of the empty cots.

His heart broke when he saw how thin the boy was after the healers had taken off his tattered clothes and boots. His arms and legs had dog bite marks on it. Some were in the early stages of healing, and some were so deep that they got infected. His eyes filled with tears but also to some extent anger. Anger at Cangse and Changze for leaving their little boy to fend for himself.

Have they forgotten what happened to young children who lived on the streets. He shudder to think what would have happened to Wei Ying if A-Zhan did not find him. He was told to wait outside after some time as the healers worked on the boy. They cleaned the wounds and dressed them with clean white cloth after putting medicinal salve on it. Through all of what was happening, Wei Ying only looked on in curiosity until he was given some bitter medicine to drink.

The healers explained to him that it would help work out the infection in his body, so he drank it even though his little face said otherwise. Lan Qiren was sitting outside on one of the benches in front of the room when he heard hurried footsteps coming his way. Without looking, he knew who it was.

"Qiren, is it true. Did you bring a child back with you?."

His sister in law had asked, and he nodded his head before he told his brother and sister in law who's child it really was. Needles to say, both of them were shocked and in disbelief of his answer. He could not blame them not with the history that was between him and the boys mother.

That was two months ago, and Wei Ying had recovered, and the wounds had healed quickly, leaving faint scars behind, but the boy just proudly said.

"These scars are my battle scars, and I will wear them with pride."

His smile was radiant on his face as he said those words while pushing out his little chest.

"Wei Ying is very brave and strong."

His nephew had said and gave them all a death glare, challenging them all to disagree with his statement, which of course made his mother and brother laugh, and his father looked on with a proud look. He just shook his head at his nephews antics. Like he said, that was two months ago, and so much has happened since then.

Lan Min had taken over Wei Ying's care as if he Lan Qiren was not equipped to do it. He never should have allowed it because she was a  complete bad influence on the boy he do not even want to start on how she had spoiled her two sons and of course his brother does not see anything wrong with it.

"Live a little Qiren."

His brother had said one day after he had spoken his mind again.

Wei Ying had slowly started to come out of his shell, and his shyness was quickly replaced by a very loud young child who no matter how hard he had tried to instill the rules and him obeying it in to him were completely undone by his sister in law interference.

"Qiren the children need to play and enjoy their childhood. Stop being such a sissy and let A-Ying and A-Zhan be. Maybe now you can learn to relax and start to enjoy life and stop being such a stickler for the rules."

That's what his sister in law told him as if he did not know how to enjoy life. He sure does thank you very much. His mind wandered to when A-Zhan stood up during supper one night and loudly declared.

"No one will hurt Wei Ying or punish him. No one will make Wei Ying cry because Wei Ying should always laugh. Wei Ying belongs only to me and no one else. Wei Ying can play and make noise as much as he wants, and no one will say anything about it because if they do, I will make them bleed."

His nephew had stated, and of course Wei Ying jumped up and threw his little arms around A-Zhan's neck and gave him a wet cheek kiss that had his nephew blushing that he feared the boy might developed a fever. Well, after his declaration and giving everyone even the elders a stern look and an ice cold glare, it was decided that no one touches Wei Ying ever.

The two had gone on and cause many trouble one of them were they plotted and successfully removed his beloved beared and boldly declared.

"Shufu looked so much more handsome and younger. Now, every omega would want you, and you won't feel so lonely anymore."

Their words did not soothe the pain in his heart nor took away the tears that had formed in his eyes as he looked at them and then in the mirror. That day will forever go down in history as the darkest and most painful day in his life. Of course, his sister in law swore high and low that she had nothing to do with their mischief, but now you tell him. Where did they get that idea from?. He also did not tell Wei Ying or A-Zhan that Wei Ying's mother had done the same to him when they were younger.

He, of course, could not stay angry at the two menaces for long, though. He had officially adopted Wei Ying two weeks ago, and now A-Ying is his legal ward and son. He loves that boy more than life itself and would do anything for him, and so would his family. He sighed as his hand caught air when it went up to stroke his non-existence beard, and tears formed in his eyes again. It is still some getting used to, and he had been warned not to even think to grow it back again because as soon as he does, it will disappear like magic once again.

The Cloud Recess was never the same again since A-Ying became part of their sect. The once quiet and peaceful place now has a young boy with the stamina of a cheetah and an accomplice by his side. The rules means nothing to them with their main cheerleader A-huan and the captain of the ship Lan Min his sister in law while his brother indulged all of it well he too but we are not talking about him now. Are we?.

A-Ying will forever be grateful and thankful that he had asked that one simple question that day. He will forever be grateful to the family he has to be part of. Lan Zhan will forever be his best friend.

Lan Zhan would do it all over again. He will take A-Ying's hand again and walked with him out of that cold and snowy alley way in Yiling all over again if it means not only to save him but have him as his best friend and close friend forever. A-Ying is his, and no one will take him away from him.

A new story once again it's a alpha beta and omega story.

Once again, some attempt at a more humorous storyline, but who knows what will happen as the story progresses.

Some people will still get their assess kicked, of course, especially those I  don't like 😌😏
