Lan Min had helped A-Ying get ready for tonights opening banquet dinner. This will be the first time he and Lan Zhan will be attending a discussion conference, and formal Lan robes had been commissioned for the young alpha and omega to wear during the course of the five day event. She braided his hair and rolled it into a bun on top of his head before she pinned it in place with silver hair needles and the jade comb that Lan Zhan had given him as an engagement gift. As she finishes, she looks at Wei Ying, who are biting his bottom lip deep in thought with a small, worried frown on his face.
"A-Ying is everything fine?. You look worried?."
A-Min asked as she looked in the mirror and A-Ying lifted his eyes and looked right back at her.
"I am just worried that the Jiang sect leader would try to take me away from you all. A-Sang also said something this afternoon about his wife. She did not like my mother and my father and she is not a good woman. I am scared."
A-Min lifted him up and made him stand in front of her while lovingly stroking his face while letting out some of her soothing scent. A-Ying took a few breaths and felt himself slowly starting to relax.
"A-Ying you have nothing to be worried about my dear. Fengmian can try all he want but he will not succeed that I can assure you and where Ziyuan is concerned well let's just say if she does try or make a scene..."
She trailed off and A-Ying gave her confused look.
"Aunty what do you mean by those words?."
He asked genuinely curious.
"Ah don't break you lovely head over that my dear. Let your dear aunty tells you that you have nothing to be scared or be afraid of. You know what they say. Empty cans makes the loudest noise."
She answered him with a smile and A-Ying returned it with one of his still a little confused by her last statement. She gave him one last over before she took his hand in hers and started to walked towards the door.
"Come we don't want to be late to the banquet dinner."
She steered him outside and they started walking towards the dining hall.
"A-Ying what else did A-Sang told you?."
She asked curiously.
"He said I must be careful of her and to make sure that I always have one of them with me and not let she cornered me or find me alone."
He answered her honesty as they continue to walk.
"I have to agree with him on that A-Ying. She is a hateful and jealous woman. She never could stand your mother but I think it stems from the fact your mother was always better than her and stronger. She could not expect the fact that a rogue cultivator with lower social standing could be stronger than her. A-Ying people conveniently forget that your mother was a disciple of the immortal Boashan Sanren. Your mother was someone who did things the way she wanted. She believed that everyone should be treated the same. She was free and unrestrained and many alphas could not stand the fact that she chooses Cangze as her alpha because they all wanted her even Fengmain before he married that woman."
A-Ying looked at her with a smile on his face but there was some sadness in his eyes.
"Ah my child all you need to know no matter what you hear from some of these jealous gossipers is that your mother and father loved each other very much. Can you do that for me A-Ying?."
She said and A-Ying threw his arms around her and she patted his back lovingly.
"I can aunty and thank you. I love you."
