JK'S POV-Two kidnappings in twenty-four hours.
It was a record.
I didn't like snatching women off the street. But the kim Family had made it impossible to negotiate any other way.
I knew it was going to come to something like this when the previous head of Kim family had died and been immediately replaced by his second son- KIM NAMJOON
Kim Namjoon got the position and undid all the shit his father and I had ironed out years before.
Was Namjoon a better boss than his father? Probably. His old man was a narcissist with a fragile ego who kept 'yes-men' at his beck and call, instead of having any person around to tell him when shit wasn't going right.
That didn't mean that I was going to be brow-beat into a deal that didn't work for my men or me.
Maybe Kims managed to get the Lee and the Choi families to come to heel, but the Jeons were no one's f#cking bitch.I would get the deal I wanted by whatever means necessary.
Which, at the moment, meant taking the woman who belonged to Namjoon's cousin brother, Choi yeonjun. To draw them into my neck of the woods for a long-overdue sit-down.
It also meant snatching Kim y/n as well.
Not to freak out or threaten the kim Family, but to finally put an end to the feud.
It was a two-part plan.
Probably.
But no one had ever accused me of being a good man. I didn't tell my men this, but I'd chosen Kim y/n for more than just her connection to Seokjin, her brother, who was high ranking in the Kim Family hierarchy.
There were plenty of other Kim women.
But I'd caught sight of Y/N leaving their mother's house after Sunday dinner once.
And that's how the decision had been made.
Kim y/n was a slip of a woman. Short, slight, but when I'd seen her, she'd been putting her brother in his place over some disagreement, shoving her finger in his face and stabbing it into his chest until he was backing away from her and holding his hands up in a defensive gesture.
If a woman was going to survive inside my world, she had to be strong. From the looks of things, Kim y/n was that.
She was also beautiful with her soft, rounded, feminine face with rosy lips, deep-set light brown eyes, and long, wavy black hair.
I might have been making the deal to bring peace between warring Families. But I wasn't going to shackle myself to a wife I didn't find attractive in the process.
I'd just been getting out of my car in front of the mansion when I'd seen the van with two of my men in it pulling up.
You could say I was pleasantly surprised to see the tiny woman break free from their hold and attempt to run for her life.
She probably thought that people were inherently good.
That was her mistake.
No one was going to save her.
No one was going to get in the middle of my business.
She was in my neck of the woods. Which meant she was completely at my mercy.
She was even smaller up close and personal. Her arm felt a little too breakable when my hand closed around it to drag her back toward the mansion, giving my men a hard look that had them shrinking into themselves, likely worried about the Consequences of making me finish a job I'd hired them to carry out.
