Ennui x Sadness

*DON'T ARGUE WITH ME IF YOU'RE A SADNESS EMBARRASSMENT SHIPPER. I don't really ship those two sorry*

After the new emotions joined the fray Ennui has been harassing Sadness ever since. Like one time when Sadness was walking minding her own business. She walked passed Ennui and all of the sudden tripped over something and fell face first. It didn't really hurt Sadness though because she always lays down on the floor when she's gloomy. Sadness looked to see what she tripped over only to realize that Ennui had her leg sticking out while looking at her phone (Ennui was standing against a wall). "Any reason why you tripped me?" Sadness asked. Ennui didn't respond. Instead she gave her a stare with those soulless cobalt blue eyes. That made Sadness feel a little awkward. So she decided to walk off.

There was another time when Ennui was laying on the couch and had to share the couch with Sadness, she would observe her from time to time. When Sadness felt like Ennui was staring at her, she would look. Only to see that Ennui was looking at her phone. Sadness blushed as she knew that Ennui was staring at her (Ennui continued to stare at Sadness after she looked). Joy has noticed this situation quite often. She always wanted to say something but she didn't want to make things worse. But after some time she decided to ask Sadness about her weird situation with Ennui. She pulled Sadness to the side so no one else would hear their conversation. "Hey Sadness, I noticed some weird things between you and Ennui" Joy said.

"You have?" Sadness asked.

Joy nodded. "Yeah, it seems like Ennui has a crush on you..."

Sadness blushed hearing from those words. "She does? What makes you think that? Has she told you?"

"Heh, no. I can just tell by that behavior."

Sadness couldn't believe that another girl has a crush on her. What's worse is does Sadness even like girls? "What should I do?"

"Maybe you could ask Ennui if she has a crush on you or not but I don't think she'll even bother to answer you" Joy suggested.

Sadness started thinking on that. She decided to forget about and move on. Besides that's how Ennui acts in general. Or does she? After days past Sadness realized that Joy was right. Ennui doesn't like talking or interacting with the other emotions. But she only interacted with her. Sadness decided to give it a try on ask Ennui some questions. Ennui was laying down on the couch as always. Sadness walked up to her. Ennui didn't bother to look. "Hey Ennui, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" Sadness asked. Ennui gave Sadness that soulless glare again. Sadness blushed again for some reason. "I don't know, do I...?" Ennui replied. Sadness couldn't tell if that was sarcasm or not.

"Well... Joy says that you have a crush on me...is that true? Or is this all a misunderstanding?"

Ennuis unamused look slightly changed into a shocked expression. But she didn't answer, instead she looked back at her phone. Sadness wasn't surprised if Ennui didn't reply. "Oh okay... well maybe you can tell me why you keep harassing me then...?"

Ennui still didn't reply. Things started to get awkward for Sadness. But Sadness really wanted to know the truth. "Well... I'll guess I'll go then..." Sadness slowly turns around and walks off.

"I...do..."

Sadness was now shocked and confused that Ennui replied to her answer now. Her heart also pounded too. "You...you do...?" She turned around.

Ennui put her phone down and looked at Sadness with those lazy soulless eyes. "Yeah...but you don't have to like me back... I'm way too boring for you anyway..."

Ennui was right. She was a little boring for her but Sadness had to admit that Ennui was kinda attractive. Especially with her French accent, that deep voice. And those light blue eyes...But who could love Sadness? Sadness felt like she was too gloomy and wimpy for someone to like her. "Maybe but to be honest we're not completely different from each other...I mean I'm kind of wimpy and gloomy and your kind of boring and unamused by things... and I do sort of find you attractive..." Sadness blushed while looking at the floor.

Ennui was surprised that Sadness found her attractive. "Well...I kinda of find you cute. I like those gloomy types" She slowly gets up and walks up to Sadness. Sadness was surprised that Ennui got up without anyone trying to force her.

"Oh.."

"If you think we can make this work then I guess we can be partners" Ennui said.

"We will... the other emotions are going to be surprised by this though..." Sadness said.

"Don't tell the other emotions yet. I don't want all of them to question me all at once"

"I won't"

The two emotions stood there for a few moments. "Well...I guess we can give each other a kiss on the lips now." Sadness blushed.

"Already?" Ennui asked.

"Unless you don't want to it's fine..."

"No..." Ennui leans down having her face an inch from Sadnesses. Sadness was still blushing. Then Ennui gives Sadness a kiss on the lips. Sadness started blushing harder. Ennui blushed a little too. While the two were making out Joy happened to come by. She was surprised that Sadness was able to get Ennui to talk. Even more surprised that she and Sadness are now getting in a relationship. "Well..." Joy said not knowing what to say next. But she decided to leave the two be and walked off. After a few minutes of making out the two broke the kiss. Sadness hugs Ennui. Ennui was surprised that Sadness was already showing her affection. "I love you Ennui..." Sadness said.

Ennui hugged back. "I love you too, Sadness"
