The rain came down hard that day as the calm before the storm settled in the leaves of the damp woods. It's always rained here in Carmen, especially during the change between Fall and Winter. The sun shining through the raindrops and the leaves wasn't the only thing happening in the woods right now. A large tree came flying out of the brush and tangled branches, snapping some in half while the others crumpled to the ground with a loud crash along with the large log. Sending pine needles, dirt, grass and leaves into the air to pollute it.

A loud stomping came quickly behind the loud crash as more little footsteps scurried around one another. Dirt-like creatures covered in what looked like the bark of a tree tended to wounded little creatures that resembled them. Squeaks of a foreign language being spoken loudly towards one another as many creatures scurried out of sight and retreated out of the way.
Many would die there. A loud screech came from the treetops as birds flee in frightened flaps of wings. The yell echoed through the trees and into nearby towns, the creatures that fled eventually finding their holes and burrows to escape the giant that hunted them down, but that was the point, wasn't it? A merry-go-round of predator vs prey? That was the circle of life after all, right? Trees and leaves settled around the once was chaos that had reigned through the depths of Black Woods, and it would stay that way for at least another week. All while the storms and weather changes came into the area. Many of the woodland creatures didn't try to start a war with Erebus.

That is until the mobs came. Until the creatures that were more than just woodland beings came in and burnt the woods to the ground. The woods went up in smoke after weeks of planning and preparing for the attack on Erebus. The Titan though, didn't take light of the situation. His home was being destroyed, and those responsible were now the primary enemy. The woodland creatures that he had once fought before were no longer top priority.

Erebus took his time to approach the flames. The fire bouncing and dancing off of the giant's skin; reflecting off of the bark. His wide eyes narrowed slowly down at the flames before his own fire was ablaze in his eyes. Reeling back before jerking himself forwards he let out a deafening screech at the attackers, the terrorists of his home. The home that he was blessed with and born into... this was his kingdom, his domain, and now it was in shambles as the attackers fled the scene of their own crime. Zigging and Zagging through the trees and brush. They tried to escape.

Another screech tore through the air and the trees as the attackers, the mob, all dispersed and tried to catch Erebus off of his guard by splitting up, but this was the worst mistake they could make. See, this wasn't just Erebus' home. It was the little creatures that he once fought before these attackers did as well, and they were angry too. Many of the tree-like creatures crawled from their burrows wielding the very weapons that were once used against Erebus, now aimed at these humans. Trees and vines manipulating themselves into a bend, slamming down into the ground around the attackers. Trapping them all separately as the fire raged onwards and out of control.

Screams of hatred and betrayal of the woodland creatures ripped through the air as the humans tried to cut through the trees with their large knives. Guns aimed at the creatures and even the trees to try to break free from their blockades, but while some never rose from their injuries, the bigger creatures that were hit did- and with a vengeance. Vines growing from the arms of the creatures and wrapping around the humans like a boa constrictor, squeezing the life straight out of the humans as the rest of them were plunged and pinned against the bent down trees that trapped them. Vines and limbs protruding through their chests, legs, arms and even their eyes and mouths.

The satisfaction of these brutal killings by the woodland creatures was low. The creatures didn't find death satisfying, in fact they didn't even want to do the attack, but the humans  drew their swords, their weapons... so did the creatures. In defense and a blind rage they attacked, or at least that's how the legend states.
