Caspian had been pacing the halls of the relatively large house as he pondered the ways. Ways to break the news- ways to explain to Taylor what shoes she was stepping into. The ways that she was going to grow in the knowledge that he was about to feed to her, but he also contemplated the opposite. The options against telling her anything. Just to walk in there and check up on her. To see how she was feeling and then dash out of there like he didn't pay for dinner, maybe because he didn't have the credit to.

He was at a loss. Leaning back against the wall of the hallway and crossing his arms over his chest, he huffed in frustration as his mind overworked itself into a pounding and relentless migraine. Leaning his head back against the wall as he closed his eyes to imagine a different time. A time where Taylor and himself would climb trees, throw snowballs at one another, build forts out of sticks and leaves. It drew a smile to his lips for a brief moment as he inhaled a deep breath and nodded to himself. Opening his eyes, he looked over to Taylor's door and pushed it open.

It was empty.

Caspian's eyes narrowed as he saw the disheveled bedding pushed back to the center of the bed, sheets crumbled as if they were reaching for whoever it was to return to them. A pillow with an indention in it... and the window across the room that was wide open. It was the freezing wind that blew through the room that caught Caspian's attention. When he turned his eyes towards the window he knew immediately where she went.

"Caspian!" The sound of Alicia's panicked voice came next to interrupt his mind's thought process, and without a moment to shift it, he ran out of the room and through the hallway. He slid into the living room as he pivoted towards the door and ran out of the house to Alicia where she stood at the treeline.

Matting against the bottom of his boots, it made it harder to walk through the thickness of the snow, However, he pushed through to the treeline.

"Where'd she go?" he asked in labored breaths. Stopping next to Alicia and staring into the darkness that lied just behind the entanglement of branches and leaves. The pit in his stomach seemed to grow with every passing second they stood there.

"I don't know. I just saw her run into the woods-" Alicia paused and pushed her hands to her cheeks in concern. "The Lycan went in after her." her voice became quick and sharp as the sentence rolled from her tongue with arrows that spat with it. The Lycan. She spoke as if it were a curse that followed her. A dirty rash that nobody could rid themselves of... and that would be partially correct.

Caspian turned from Alicia back to the treeline as his thoughts took over and deafened the outside world to the point where he moved forward again. Intentions shifting from saving his sister to something more sinister.

Alicia saw that expression change and she knew the thought process going through his mind. She knew she had to do something to change his mind quickly or else more than just one person would be hurt in there, Taylor as well as Caspian included. She reached out to grab his arm suddenly to stop him. "Cas, you can't go in there. It's forbidden." she reminded him calmly, but it didn't seem to register. Caspian pulled his arm from her grasp and continued to move forwards. Finally disappearing into the darkness of the forest.

The darkness seemed to swallow him as he took the first steps into the trees. Silence crept through the area in a deafening way. Not even the sound of breaking branches and rustling leaves filled his ears as he walked slowly and cautiously through the pine littered forbidden forest.

His jettatura expression fell on the surrounding trees. Of course... he expected more from it. Magic dancing from tree to tree, mystical creatures frolicing through the snowcovered ground. Anything of that sort, but none of that occurred. The pine needles were the primary player in the woods, and it was far from mystical or magical. Instead it was muddy. The mud and pine needles covered the bottoms of his shoes and the hem of his jeans. Slowly soaking up the jean legs to his ankles with every step.
