Chapter 1

Scarlett's P.O.V
I heard a familiar voice talking to me from the back. I turned around seeing Maria, my best friend since kindergarten. I smiled and hugged her. She was now 8 years old and I was 9 years old. She had blonde hair, while I had brown hair. She had lovely shiny blue eyes. I loved her like a little sister.
(Maria is the one in the picture above. Just to let you know :-) )
She laughed with me until the school bell ringed. Which indicated that it was time to go to class.

I heard that my new teacher was going to be Ms. Gomez. I got closer to Maria and said "guess what?" Maria looked at me and answered "what" in a smiley face. I looked away and said in a sad tone "we are not going to be in the same class this year". Her smile faded away. She stared at the floor and then looked at me again. She said "it's okay". I looked at the clock. It was 7:35 a.m. I leaved Maria in her designated classroom.

As I left I went to my classroom. Ms. Gomez was sitting in her desk. When I walked all the way where her desk was I said "umm, hello...I am going to be your new student". The teacher greeted me and told me where to seat.

Maria's P.O.V

My new classmates where really cheerful. I dint feel the same. Not without Scarlett. I put my hands covering my face and sigh. I looked up seeing that my teacher was a guy. He said his name was Mr.Brown. He was tall, you could say a little fat. Not that fat though. As we stared the lesson I did everything I needed to do. But then a boy who was sitting next to me gaved me a paper.

I blushed seeing that it might be a love letter. But when I opened it my heart ached. I got amazed of all those bad things they thought about me. I felt a tear rolling down my cheeks. I quickly ripped the little paper and threw it away. As I was reading my book I was thinking about all those mean things the paper had about me. Some said "you look stupid and shy". Another one said "your a mistake, we don't even know why you were even created in this world in the first place, BITCH". I looked at all the popular students walking around others and talking to other popular kids. You could say that the popular kids where my class except me and one other boy.

The teacher left and put Alexis and Robert in charge. They where the ones that bullied me. For no reason they had put my name on the board. I looked confused while everyone was laughing at me. When the teacher arrived I gasped as he looked at the board. He looked at me with a serious expression. I thought to myself, "it's barely the first day of school and it already sucks". The teacher asked why my name was on the board. I had little tears in my eyes and said "Sir.....I..I..dint...do..anything...wrong". The teacher looked at Alexis and Robert. Robert did a innocent face and said "she was walking around the room for no reason, when you had said that no one could get up while you where gone". The teacher wrote something down and called my name. "Maria if you don't change that attitude your not going to P.E nor field trips." I looked down the floor in disappointment and said "yes Mr.Brown".

It was now time to go home.

Scarlett's P.O.V

So Maria how was your day. Maria looked tired and mad at the same time. I tapped her shoulder and said "it's okay, what happened Maria"? Maria looked at me with a crying face. When I hugged her she was crying. Minutes passed and she told me everything. I said your getting bullied Maria. Go tell your mom and dad your being bullied.

Maria sigh and said "why bother! My father doesn't care about me, only my mother". I was amazed on what Maria had told me. I left her in her home and said goodbye.

When I got home my parent where there. My sibling where eating and my parents where happily waiting for me to arrive. I told my mom that the first day of school was so cool. But then my smile disappeared thinking about Maria's problem. My mother sitted down beside me and told me. "Honey what's wrong, are you sure the first day of school was really that cool". I laughed and said "sorry, thinking about my crush". My mom laughed with me and got up to serve herself more chicken with soup. As I finished my plate I went to my room and called Maria.

Maria answered

Scarlett : Hello Maria. So what are you doing, are you done with your homework?

Maria: Yes Scarlett I already finished my homework. I'm outside dribbling the soccer ball.

Scarlett: Well, did you told your parents about you being bullied or not.

Maria: No I don't want to. I don't need to. It's not going to be beneficial.

Scarlett: Maria! It is important for you to tell your parents that your being bullied.

Maria: my father doesn't care about me and my mom is ignoring everyone in the house. Well good night Scarlett.

Scarlett: Goodnight Maria! Sweet dreams :-)

Maria's P.O.V
I got in the house and made myself a sandwich

I closed my bedroom door as I heard my dad's screams and my mom's screams. I looked down where the whole action was taking place. My mother was ignoring my dad or sometimes just slapping him. I wanted to cry just by seeing this. I closed my bedroom door and covered myself with the covers.
