She slowly raised her gaze to the computer screen in front of her as the telltale sound of a email arriving rang out. Cassandra Renard was rarely busy in the more recent days, fired from an office job for various reasons, too many to list. Of course her interest peaked when she read the newest email was from one famous David Xanatos.

To anyone else, it would be exciting or shocking to see someone of such importance appear in their inbox, or they'd quickly assume it was a scam email trying to get their information. Cassandra had the unfortunate close connection to him thanks to her older sister, Fox, dating the multi-billionaire. Though it was still a surprise to get anything from him, more recently he had hired someone else to do most all his public business - Owen Burnett, if she recalled correctly, or let her eyes drop to a older email still sitting in her inbox unopened.

The notebook she was writing in was closed, right hand clicking a pen closed before it dropped onto the desk. The redhead gave a sigh of annoyance before grabbing the mouse, dragging it around until the cursor stopped over the email. Her pointer finger lightly tapped the mouse a few times, not hard enough to actually click onto the email as she considered it, biting at her lower lip before licking over it.

Finally she pressed onto the email, opening it and slowly reading over the lines with a bored expression. Cassandra suddenly sat up slightly straighter, pushing some stray hairs out of her face as she hummed, rereading a few more times. "Dear Miss Renard... I hope you've been doing well..." She skipped over a few lines as she read aloud, "Fox has been busy setting up plans for a new project- A children's tv show?" She stopped reading, shaking her head as though the idea was ridiculous.

Honestly, she felt it was ridiculous. Her sister Janine - She went by Fox now, something else she found ridiculous - was the last person she'd expect to see on tv, much less a children's show. She loved her sister, she really did, but Cassandra knew neither Renard sister were very good with children.

Her eyes returned to the screen, wide and incredulous as she went back to reading, "I know she hasn't reached out to you about it due to working so hard on it, but I thought with your recent unemployment, you'd like a chance to work as your sisters agent and the head manager for the show." Cassandra frowned a bit, clicking her tongue - of course David Xanatos would somehow know of her losing her job. She leaned back in her office chair, glancing around the room as she considered reasons to not take the job.

A general dislike of children... She knew next to nothing about acting or how tv shows worked behind the scenes! But she needed a job, and working with her sister was always fun, even if it was her billionaire boyfriend's idea.

Her hand moved with the mouse, preparing to start a response when her cellphone started ringing. Her green eyes flickered over, scoffing as she read the ID name, "Of course. Pretentious asshole..." She leaned back in her chair again, picking up the phone and flipping it open, answering before holding the phone up to her ear.

"Xanatos..." "Considering I didn't go to voicemail, I take it you saw the email?" She could hear his smug expression bleeding through the phone, "I did... Is there any other information you can give me about the show my sister's putting together?" One hand toyed with the ends of her hair as she spoke, chair slowly swinging back and forth.

David chuckled in her ear, "If you'd read the last email Owen sent you, you would know more." She sighed, rolling her eyes before clicking onto the last unopened email from his assistant, "Live action, clearly. Fox deserves to show off her pretty face, though her voice is equally beautiful." "Don't talk about her like that, not to me at least." Cassandra grumbled, making him chuckle again, "Of course, my apologies... She wanted something action packed, a typical 25-30 minute long adventure with a team of good guys fighting whatever generic villains the writers settle on. Evil ninjas, we'll assume for now."

"But you said you'd want me to be Jani- Fox's agent... and the show manager." Cassandra mumbled, frowning a bit. "Yes, you don't seem like the type to want to appear on a children's show for a whole season- maybe quick cameos!" David proposed before carrying on, "Either way, even as the manager you wouldn't have too much to do... Owen would be doing most of it behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly."

She scoffed, laughing shortly as she turned her chair around fully, staring out the window behind her desk, "Of course you'd be running everything behind the scenes. You'd be the type to have ulterior motives. I take it you have a cast thought out already?"

It was quiet for a bit, long enough that Cassandra thought he had hung up before he spoke again, "Oh, Cassandra, of course I have ulterior motives. Why else would I aim to hire a group of thieves and mercenaries to act in a kids show?" The silence returned as she processed his words before she laughed once loudly like a bark, "Thieves and mercenaries? The only kinds of actors Fox could surround herself with- Alright. Fine, you have my interest." "I knew I would, I'll have Owen email you the details - Oh, and for the sake of secrecy and security, only you and Fox will know I have any involvement."

She pursed her lips as she nodded, "Alright. Any name for the show yet?" Another chuckle rang in her ear, "The Pack! Each of the main cast will take on animal names. Speaking of which..." "No. I won't pick an animal to go by while this show goes on." Cassandra quickly shut the idea down as David sighed - She could imagine him shaking his head. "Good thing you won't get to pick. Since you'll be their manager, you need something that makes people think 'power' and I think I came up with the best name for you."

He was pausing for dramatic effect as she audibly sighed, standing up from her chair to walk towards the window, looking down at the streets of Manhattan. "How would you like to be my Lioness? Manager of The Pack." She couldn't deny the spike of excitement at the idea, the chance to play pretend with the name. "Fine, Xanatos. I'll be your Lioness. Have your errand boy email me the details, and tell my sister I say hello."
