Call you captain?
Captain of nothing.
You squish through like jelly into a sea of maybes,
In that doubt, the shadows draw near,
Death glimpses, trust, I'm waiting here.
You need to look at the mirror
—who do you see?
To get over yourself, you need to break protocol, you need to get to the mantle, you need to get to the core,
"Well," says the genie, "that's life."
Now,
Aim for the highest peak,
Feel the raindrops freeze as they fall,
You'll finally see the flower fields
—black-eyed susans, lilies, and so many more,
The power of one.
In the theme of creating a collaborative piece, I want you to help me decide the title of this poem. Comment a title and the most popular one gets picked!
