You thought you knew what it felt like to be homesick, after spending over a month away from home now and only managing to talk to your family every weekend. Usually via Kakao. But you were wrong. Alone in the hotel room, in Hong Kong, acting as an independent stylist, you really do miss home. You can't even shake the feeling this morning; with free time until two in the afternoon you wander the streets of Hong Kong and take as many photos as you can. The never ending noise, and all of the signs piled up on the sides of the buildings is completely different from even the major cities in Australia. It is huge and chaotic.
"We had this new dish this morning", San Cheong breaks you from your thoughts and back into the change room.
"Any good?" you ask and continue to try and get his scarf sitting right. "Was it spicy?"
San Cheong grinned, "Really. I loved it, but E.co-hyung struggled to swallow the first bite. You should honestly try it, Prince Mak-hyung recommended it."
"He did?" you raise your eyebrows and smile at his cutely innocent expression. "I really don't like spicy, that's all. Maybe...I'll try it. I guess."
"I'm back", Prince Mak declares in your ear as he returns from the toilet.
Well, that's where he told you he was heading but it's been close to twenty minutes since you last saw him.
You frown a little and grab his arm softly as he tries to continue walking.
"Did you get lost?" you ask.
He shrugs and tries to smile innocently, but can't pull it off as well as San Cheong, "I got some air too."
You nod slowly, still not entirely believing his story, "Okay. Let me put your bowtie on, please. It's almost time for the interview."
Prince Mak huffs quietly and it's only now you notice that he's hiding his hands behind his back.
You crane your neck, "What are you holding?"
"Stacey-ssi", Soo-jin suddenly appears, "I need you to add a ribbon to Simba's hat. We don't want to get it off his head since the hairstylist thinks this and that. I can do Prince Mak."
You blink in confusion; why on Earth are you purposely being sent to Simba?
"Uh...But I'm Prince Mak's stylist, I thought-"
"No. You're an independent stylist. Please do Simba's hat, there's only a few minutes left."
You are surprised at the harshness of Soo-jin's words and start to move in the direction she waved. The tall idol sitting in the far back corner of the room. People are moving all around him and he just sits there, alone. No one seems to notice him either, despite his relaxed posture and extremely long legs clad in tight black stretched out in front of him.

"Thank you for this", Eun-byul throws a silver ribbon in your direction as you pass by her.
Moving through the churning room in a half-daze towards what you honestly feel could be the end of everything. You catch the ribbon and glance at her as she continues to fiddle with E.co's shirt while he offers you a stunning smile.
"He's not feeling well", Eun-byul continues and now you stop walking and turn back.
"What?"
"Simba got food poisoning or something at lunch, just so you're warned."
You blink and are surprised at how angry you feel at this moment, "So, what? He's unwell and everyone avoids him like some sort of rabid animal? Why send me to help him? Of all people?"
A few people around you turn and look to see what the sudden commotion is about, while Eun-byul's eyes widen and she bites her bottom lip. You don't wait for her to reply, moving back towards Simba with a new determination.
"Excuse me", you say as you clear the crowd and stop beside his huge boots.
Simba looks at up you slowly, the brim of his hat casting a strange shadow over his eyes, "Yes?"
His eyes aren't as cold as they usually are and actually seem a little glazed, the same can be said for his pasty skin.
"Are you alright?" you ask automatically. "I heard you might have food poisoning."
"Maybe. They've given me some medication and promised to stop by the hospital if I don't feel better after this interview."
There's nothing else you can say about it, despite disagreeing with making him wait for medical attention.
"Okay. I need to put this ribbon on your hat. I'll just be a sec", you step forward and start to twist the silver ribbon around.

"You're Australian, right?"
Simba surprises you by speaking again as you twist the last part of the ribbon and tuck in under itself in the hope it will stay secure.
"Yes. I am."
"Australia must be very different from China and Korea", he stands up suddenly and brushes himself off before looking you straight in the eye. "Are you busy later?"
You blink in utter shock, "Uh...No. Why?"
"Can you come with me? I have something I really want to show you."
You open your mouth but no sound comes out, so you close it and swallow quickly before trying again.
"...What?"
"I want to take you somewhere. Is that okay?"
The final call comes and everybody starts to move towards the door, but you can't look away from Simba's shining eyes. He is so close, you can feel the heat from his body and smell his strangely calming smell.
"Aren't you going to the hospital?"
He shrugs easily, "I'm starting to feel better."
You sigh slightly, "Promise you're not taking me somewhere to kill me and destroy my body", you demand as a slight paranoia starts to chew at you.
"Why would I do that?" Simba asks, but his tone still doesn't sound as friendly as it could.
But what choice do you have? Really?
"Fine. Yes, I will go with you."
"Good", Simba steps past you, "I'll meet you at the bus stop after this."
And that's an order, you think bitterly as you watch him leave the room without looking back.
What could he possibly want to show you? Will it explain his irrational dislike for you?
