before they realise it, time had already went by so quickly and in the blink of an eye it has been 5 months since their contract. it was yet another day at the office for them. over the past 5 months the results for the hotel was overwhelming. they had more business opportunities from other brands and companies. as for y/n and kaiser, not much has changed other than the fact she was slightly more comfortable around him. i mean it happens eventually when you stay together for quite sometime. surprisingly, they do make pretty good business partners. they never really had any major disagreements, he would usually let her take care of it since he trust her.
but recently both parties have been even busier than before, they rarely saw each other. just then a knock interrupted the silence in y/n's office, in walked in the emperor himself.
" what are you doing here? " she expected some kind of work related issue but no.
" nothing,we haven't seen each other in awhile even though we live under the same roof. " but that didn't bother y/n at all.
" so? "
" so.. its make it up tonight, dinner? " she sighed, knowing this man would not give up unless she had gone with him.
" if its on you "
" bet "

" its really been awhile huh " kaiser spoke as he took a bite out of his steak.
" yeah.. " honestly she was drain these couple of months. as they continue talking about whatever that came to their mind.
" also tomorrow we have a.. kasier? " she realised his attention was no longer fixed on her but rather at an older looking male. his expression had a hint of fear and nervousness in it. something she never thought she will see from him.
" i.. am going for a smoke. " she knew he smoked but it wasn't often. something was definitely up. sketchy how he would just leave for a smoke in the middle of eating and after seeing the unknown man. hence, she decided to go out and check on him but he was no where to be found outside the restaurant. the smoking area was just outside but yet there was no trace of him. she walked around the area alittle longer before she found a small alley. and there he was, alone in the dark alley but what she saw wasn't normal. he was choking himself?
" what the fuck are you doing?! " her instinct immediately ran up to stop him before he actually get himself killed.
" h-hes back.. he.. " even though she didn't quite know what he meant but clearly it wasn't anything good as she felt his hand tremble just from holding it since she stopping him from choking. before he knew it, she brought his head closer to her chest, giving him a warm embrace. he was definitely taken aback since he had never seen this side of her.
" hes gone now... hes gone. its safe now " she whispered giving him light pats, her other hand reach for her bag and dialled for ness to pick them up. although he had a title of a manwhore and felt the touch of many woman. non quite compared to hers. it was warm and felt almost like home.

" how is he? " they had made it safely back home and ness had managed to calm him down while y/n waited outside and asked once ness came out.
" yeah hes asleep right now... but what happened? "
" i dont know either, he saw a older man and his expression completely changed and before i knew it i found him choking himself in the alley. " the dots connected for ness.
" means he probably saw his father " y/n suddenly remembered that kaiser was abused when he was a child. that explains the reason why he was so afraid to see his father.
" you can tell him that he can take a rest for afew days, i can handle the business alone. " y/n said while ness just nod and continue with his task. out of sympathy, y/n entered kaiser's room, wanting to check up on how hes doing. standing beside his bed while he was peacefully asleep. in a way she felt sorry for him. she let out a sigh before turning away and wanting to leave when she felt him grab onto her wrist.
" will you stay here with me? " he asked in the softest voice possible. in a situation like this, how could she say no. yes she might seem nonchalant but she still had a heart.
" im sorry you had to see me like that " she didn't know why he apologised. he didn't have a choice.
" i just didn't want to clean up your dead body. " cold as ever he thought. even though her mouth said this but her heart meant another and she still stayed behind to accompany him for the moment.
" i told ness that you will be taking the rest of the week off. i can handle it alone. " y/n announced. kaiser however didn't quite approve of this.
" im fine besides, you are clearly overworking yourself." without a doubt she was, but her ego and drive wouldn't stop her from doing so.
" im fine, worrying about yourself. "
" im not sick or anything like that " kaiser was another stubborn one. thats what makes them two.
" whatever, do as you please " she said before taking a seat at the edge of his bed, with her back facing him. the sudden unfamiliar touch made her flinch alittle as she felt him wrapped his arms around her neck as he sat up.
" what are you doing? " he just can't get over the fact that her touch felt so warm. the way that made him long for and crave for more.
" you are absolutely gorgeous you know " he whispered as he laid his head on her shoulders. instead of pulling away, she allowed him to stay in this position.
" stay for the night? " he asked, wanting her to sleep in his room together. seeing kaiser's vulnerable side cause her to soften her heart. this egotistic man looked so vulnerable at the moment. a side she never knew existed in him. it was clear he lacked love and care since young.
" just for tonight " she responded before breaking the embrace and tucking herself in bed with him. he honestly didn't expect her to agree to his request but no complains either. however, she left a small gap inbetween them, not trying to get too close to him.
" why so far away? "
" what do you mean im literally right next to you " in a swift movement, he pulled her towards his chest and hugged her tight. she can't lie but it made her heart twist and turn in a certain way which she did not want to admit. his big frame wrapped tightly around her small body making her feel cosy, almost like she wanted to stay in this position forever. as the night slowly went on, the two drifted into deep sleep. but it was undeniable that it might have been the best sleep they have had.
