4. Their predicament

It was terrifying. Hyunsuk and Jihoon laid unconsciously on the bed in each other's arms and their faces were tear-stricken.

"Jihoon"

"Hyunsuk"

"Hoon"

"Suk"

"Hey"

"Wake up"

Yoshi and Jeongwoo rushed in to get them into comfortable positions. When Doyoung tried to pull Jihoon, he tightened his hold around Hyunsuk as if telling not to separate them.

"I think it is better to get them inside the comforter together." Haruto said.

"Yeah. I don't think they'd let us do it another way." Junghwan agreed.

They all sat on the floor and couch after making sure the husbands rested well.

"What do you think that could be?" Jeongwoo asked.

"Honestly, I have no clue. But, I-I am so scared." Jaehyuk felt tears sting his eyes.

"How are they going through this?" Asahi couldn't help but feel his heart break seeing Hyunsuk and Jihoon in this condition.

"Because they are in this together. It's amazing that even unconsciously they don't let each other go." Yoshi marveled.

Hyunsuk and Jihoon were glued to each other, their soft breaths fanning against one another reminding that they are in conjunction. They looked at the couple in awe, their fear briefly turning into amazement.

"What do we tell them when they wake up?" Haruto looked at them in question.

"The truth. They would definitely know if we try to hide or lie" Junghwan replied.

"Hwan's right. Besides, we have no other choice." Doyoung agreed.

'Do you think that they could be uh..um..possessed?" Junkyu questioned recalling the past events and got a horror filled reaction.

"Maybe or maybe not. There are chances of that." Asahi breathed in trying to understand the complexity of the situation.

"The eyes. Their eyes. Their eyes were golden. They shone so bright. I cannot get my mind off that." Yoshi felt a chill run down his spine, not by the weather but from the realization.

"Now they are normal but how?" Jaehyuk breathed out.

"That. That is not humanly possible. Right?" Jeongwoo felt his hands getting sweaty.

"No. Plus, the sound and the screen and everything. They don't happen. Unless. Unless, there is something beyond what we think" Junkyu replied, his eyes closed shut.

"Do we have the footage downloaded?" Junghwan asked.

"Yes. I checked now, ev-everything's there." Doyoung, still feeling scared, managed to reply.

Haruto who was seemingly lost in thought spoke, "Let's assume there is a spirit or something here which would explain the eerie footage but why were they crying? And the talking... they spoke something for sure but why couldn't we not hear that?"

"Yeah. If that spirit wants to make its presence known, then why would it not show itself in the actual form?" Yoshi added curiously.

"We can only theorize for now, Yosh. It could be anything. Probably Jihoon or Hyunsuk can help us here" Asahi reasoned.

"I don't think I can watch that clip ever again." Jaehyuk visibly shuddered thinking of what he saw before.

"Same" Jeongwoo nodded.
