Sunoo lay on the couch, peacefully scrolling through his phone. His grandma suddenly burst in, grinning.
"I did something wonderful for you!" she announced.
"If it's another weird tea, I don't want it," Sunoo muttered, not looking up.
"No, no! I signed you up on a dating app and booked you a date!" she said proudly.
Sunoo dropped his phone on his face. "YOU DID WHAT?!"
"You have a date today!" she beamed.
Sunoo shot up. "Wait- how do you even know what a dating app is?!"
"My friends helped me! We had a study session," she said casually.
Sunoo's jaw dropped. "YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS STUDIED DATING APPS?!"
"Of course! Mrs. Shim's grandson met someone this way, so why not you?"
Sunoo groaned, throwing himself back on the couch. "I'm gonna pass out."
Grandma patted his leg. "I picked someone nice! They love mystery novels, just like you."
Sunoo groaned dramatically, throwing an arm over his eyes. "Grandma, I'm studying criminology, not some love drama!"
His grandma scoffed. "And? Does criminology keep you warm at night?"
"YES, ACTUALLY. IT'S CALLED A BLANKET."
She rolled her eyes. "Listen, my sweet stubborn grandson, all you do is read crime novels and drink iced coffee. You need some romance in your life!"
Sunoo sat up, looking betrayed. "First of all, don't disrespect my iced coffee. Second, I don't need romance- I have case studies to analyze!"
Grandma sighed dramatically. "Fine. I was going to make your favourite cheesecake, but I guess I'll just eat it all by myself..."
Sunoo froze. His mind short circuited. "Wait. Grandma. Let's be rational."
She hummed, smirking. "Rational like how you're going on that date?"
Sunoo inhaled sharply. "....What kind of cheesecake?"
"Strawberry, extra whipped cream."
"Fine. I'll go," he muttered instantly.
Grandma clapped her hands. "Good boy! Now, go take a power nap. You need to look good today."
Sunoo groaned, dragging himself upstairs. "I hate how easily I was bought."
.
Sunoo jolted awake, blinking groggily at the clock on his nightstand. His vision was slightly blurry, but as the numbers came into focus, his soul nearly left his body.
