Heartbeats in the Silence
When one day you return,
Seeking me, your heart will yearn.
If by me you're not found,
Where else, in grief, will you be bound?Who'll knock the door with longing first?
In our home, will you quench your thirst?
The one we built, brick by brick,
Memories linger, thick and quick.Since you left, tears freely flow,
In sorrow's grasp, my heart does know.
If you come, tread gently, dear,
In this space, for you, I hold so near.Since you've gone, by the door I stay,
My heart's turmoil, night and day.
Whispering softly, on the bed I lie,
Hoping against hope, you won't say goodbye. Thanks
