Goodbye

As Asha awakens to the gentle caress of dawn's first light, she feels a sense of serenity wash over her. The soft glow of the morning sun bathes her skin in a warm embrace, igniting a fire of anticipation deep within her soul. 

With each breath, she inhales the promise of a new beginning, savoring the delicate dance of light and shadow that plays across her room.

Before she can fully embrace the day, her aunt Maya enters the room with a sense of urgency in her eyes.

 "We need to leave soon," Maya says softly, her voice tinged with determination. "If you don't want to go back home, we can head to London."

Asha's heart skips a beat at the mention of London, her mind buzzing with the possibilities that lie ahead. With a nod of agreement, she gathers her belongings, ready to embark on a journey of discovery and adventure in the bustling streets of the city. 

"Flight's at 11:50," Maya announces, her tone laced with a mix of excitement and urgency. "We're flying with Air France from Indira Gandhi International Airport.

 It's 9:00 now." She pauses, glancing at her watch before continuing, "I'll call Diya to come by for goodbyes before we head out."

With Asha's minimal belongings spread out on the bed, Maya steps in to assist with the packing. Together, they carefully select the essentials and neatly arrange them in the suitcase, making sure to leave room for any additional items Asha might need during their journey. 

As they work, Maya offers words of encouragement, her presence providing a sense of comfort and reassurance amidst the chaos of the unexpected departure.

As Asha reclines on the bed lost in her thoughts, the sound of the doorbell interrupts her reverie. With a sense of anticipation, she rises to answer it, knowing it must be Diya, her closest friend and confidante.

 As she swings open the door, a smile lights up her face at the sight of Diya standing there, her presence bringing a ray of sunshine into the room.

Asha rushes to the door and swings it open, revealing Diya standing there with a bright smile. Without hesitation, they embrace tightly, their arms wrapping around each other as they share a heartfelt hug.

 As they pull away, their eyes meet, and in that moment, a silent understanding passes between them, reaffirming the bond of friendship that binds them together.

Their lips meet in a tender kiss, a silent exchange of affection and solidarity

With a heavy heart, Asha recounts the traumatic events of the previous night to Diya, detailing every painful moment she endured with the man. 

She describes the fear and helplessness she felt as he imposed himself upon her, leaving her feeling violated and alone. As she speaks, Asha finds strength in Diya's presence, knowing that she is not alone in her struggle.

Asha: "I don't even know where to begin, Diya. It was like a nightmare."

Diya: "Take your time, Asha. I'm here for you. What happened?"

Asha: "He was so aggressive, Diya. I felt like I couldn't breathe. I wanted it to stop, but I was too scared to do anything."

Diya: "I'm so sorry you had to go through that, Asha. You didn't deserve any of it."

Asha: "And the worst part is, I thought my family would protect me. But they just stood by and let it happen."

Diya: "Your family should have been there for you, Asha. I can't imagine how betrayed you must feel."

Asha: "I don't even know who I am anymore, Diya. Everything feels so broken."

Diya: "You're strong, Asha. Stronger than you realize. And you're not alone. We'll get through this together."

Diya: "Asha, I've been wanting to tell you something... something I've been feeling for a while now."

Asha's heart skips a beat as she looks into Diya's eyes, sensing the depth of her emotions.

Asha: "What is it, Diya?"

Diya takes a deep breath, her cheeks flushing with a rosy hue as she leans in closer to Asha.

Diya: "I... I love you, Asha. I've loved you from the moment I met you. You're so beautiful, so kind, and I can't imagine my life without you."

Asha's breath catches in her throat as she listens to Diya's confession, her own heart racing with a mixture of excitement and uncertainty.

Asha: "Diya, I... I never knew you felt that way. I've always felt a special connection between us, but I didn't want to ruin our friendship."

Diya reaches out and gently brushes a lock of hair away from Asha's face, her touch sending shivers down Asha's spine.

Diya: "Our friendship means everything to me, Asha. But I want more. I want to be with you, to hold you close, to feel your lips against mine."

Asha's heart pounds in her chest as she leans in, her lips trembling with anticipation as they meet Diya's in a tender kiss.

 In that moment, everything else fades away, and all that matters is the overwhelming sensation of love and desire coursing through their veins.

Hailing a taxi, they embark on the journey to the airport, each moment filled with anticipation and uncertainty. 

As they arrive at their destination, the bustling atmosphere of the airport surrounds them, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in their lives

Boarding the flight, Asha and Maya settle into their seats, the hum of the airplane engines signaling the start of their journey. As they ascend into the sky, Asha can't help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation. 

She steals a glance at Maya, grateful for her presence and the promise of a fresh start awaiting them in London.

 With each passing mile, they leave behind the pain of the past, soaring towards a future filled with hope and possibility.
