A Sleepover! Pt.2

'Ughh Jay when will the power be back?'

Nya was fed up at this point. First the Samurai X suit, then the power cutting out and the latest edition; Cole evidently have some sort of crush on her brother! Unbelievable!

'Um Nya hon..' Jay looked honest to God terrified. 'It's gonna be out for at least another two days until I can get it up and running again'. Nya groaned. She swore her luck was getting worse and worse. 'Heeeyy Jay, Zane was looking for you..' Cole trailed off as Nya gave him A Look. 'Ah well ok uh that's um all I had to say, bye!' Cole rambled out, and then raced out the door.

'Nothing better than watching your bestie fall in loveee~' Jay sighed dreamily.

'IT WOULD BE BETTER IF IT WASNT MY BROTHER!'

'Nya come on, it's exactly like when I fell for you and your brother was fuming just like you!'

Nya slightly blushed at the 'fell for you' but made sure to not let Jay notice, for she was just as prideful as her brother. Jay did have a point though. She remembered Kai acting exactly like this, except a lot more firey. Literally.

Downstairs, Pixal and Zane were discussing the latest changes to their team. Nya had swapped personality roles with Kai, and Cole kept having awkward conversations with the poor oblivious fire ninja. It was quite amusing to the metallic pair.

'Zane, when do you think they'll all stop being such eejits?'

'Eegits?'

'It's a term I picked up from that Scottish-Irish dictionary you got me for Christmas Zane!'

'Hey Cole!'

Cole froze. He was once again looking for his cake, only to be jumpscared by the one and only, Kai.

'Eh hi Kai! You scared me.'

Kai laughed and reached over Cole to get a drink. His arm slightly brushed against Cole, and the insignificant contact still made Cole redden a bit. God why was he acting like this!? He felt like a lovesick teenager.

Kai saw Cole's cheeks go a little redder, but he put that down to him being around the fire ninja. Of course he would feel warmer than usual. Still it was a bit weird.

'Hey Cole, you good?' Kai asked, slightly concerned.

'Huh? Oh yep all good!' He spit out, and then randomly ran out the door, leaving Kai scatching his head in the kitchen.

The power was still out, and the Ninja had stolen all Kai's meditation candles to provide some light, much to Kai's annoyance. Still, there wasn't much to do, as it was too risky to fix the suits in the dim light.

The Ninja were all gathered in the living room, looking bored. That's when Jay had an Idea.

'Guys what about we have a sleepover!'

Kai looked at him as though he were stupid.

'We already live together, stupid.'

'Yeah, we could stay up all night and play games and eat snacks, and.. and..' Jay protested.

Cole blinked. He didn't know how he felt about another situation where he and Kai might accidentally fall asleep again.
