Yes, I know it's summer but let me have my fun ( I bet you I'll be writing beach oneshots during Christmas)

Lloyd quietly crept down the stairs, barely making a sound. Hey maybe I'm getting hang of this ninja stuff after all! The floorboards creaked as his sock adorned feet hit the landing. He winced. Maybe not.
Around him, he could still hear Cole's unmistakable snoring. Everyone was still sleeping. Good. He tip toed down to the kitchen, which was still cloaked in darkness. He stopped at the doorway. Something felt... uneasy. Different. He pressed his body tightly against the wall as he come to realisation. Someone, something, was in the kitchen already. He could hear their even breathing, opposite to his own quiet, shaky ones. He needed to get Kai! He padded a few steps away from the doorway, only for a hand to quickly grasp onto his shoulder.
"Aaah! Don't hurt me, I know spinjitsu!" He jumped as he screamed. Suddenly, the lights flashed on, temporarily blinding him. Squinting, he blinked a couple of times to adjust to the light. In front of him stood two figures, one standing arms crossed while the other leaned on the countertop. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? A cookie thief?" Kai smirked, leaning forward. Nya stood next to him, looking triumphant. "Told you he'd be down here Kai, you owe me three bucks and an extra present." Lloyd watched them bicker silently, trying to process what just happened.
"Wait wait, you knew I'd be down here!?" Lloyd exclaimed. Kai, still smirking, replied, "Lloyd, did you really think we could trust you when there's Christmas cookies around?" Lloyd smiled awkwardly. His older brother slung an arm around his shoulders. "Alrighty troublemaker, let's head to bed now, yeah?"

Zane always woke up at 7am, sharp, and today was no different. He blinked as he powered on, his sensors feeling tingly. He made his way down to the kitchen, feet clanking on the wooden floorboards. Pixal was already in the kitchen, looking deep in thought, calculating something. "Hello Pixal!" Zane greeted cheerfully. She shot him a smile and nodded in acknowledgement. Zane leaned over her shoulder and turned his face to meet hers. "Why are you in the kitchen? It isn't your normal brainstorming area." Pixal smiled to herself - of course Zane would be concerned over insignificant things like that. "Oh, Nya is just busy down there right now, I thought I would leave her in peace." Zane stood straight, happy with her answer, and began rummaging through the cupboard in search of frying pans. "So," He talked as he took the ingredients from the fridge, "Christmas is in one week, is it not?"
"Yes that would be correct." Pixal replied. "Why? Are you starting to prepare gifts?" She asked. The sizzle of the hot pan could be heard as Zane cracked in two eggs. "Actually, I was thinking that we could do something a bit different this year. It's a tradition some people do that I thought would be quite fun, since there is quite a few of us." Pixal nodded for Zane to move on. "It's called 'Secret Santa', where people put their names in a hat and then randomly pick another name. Then they must buy whoever they get a gift. But the thing is that you don't know who is getting you a gift." Zane concluded. "Yes, that does sound quite fun! We shall tell the others when they come down to eat. I am going down to check up on Nya now." She smiled, got up, placed a peck on Zane's cheek, and left still smiling, leaving a shocked Zane.

Kai flinched under the blankets as a sudden bright light flooded his room. Tiredly, he rubbed his eyes and emerged from the duvet. "Urgh, who the fuck is in my room!?" He glared furiously, well tried to, considering he was still half asleep. And of course the person who let the sunshine into his room, was the sunshine buddy of the team. "KAI! Wake up, Zane made breakfast!" Jay shouted, and then seeing Kai's grumpy face pop out from under the sheets, was satisfied that his work was done here. He skipped out of the room, presumably to go find Nya who was an early bird. Kai groaned quietly and leaned back on the bed. He definitely couldn't go back to sleep now. He flopped out of bed and closed the curtains a bit so the light wasn't blinding his eyes. He slowly made his way to the bathroom, and then remembered his hair wasn't gelled yet, so he quickened the pace. No one had seen Kai with his hair down, and he wasn't planning on it anytime soon.
