The Ambush took a small turn around, the sharp eyes carved its gaze onto the hearts of the three cadets. Krista could not move at all, the hand on her blade trembling as she thought of killing the Ambush. Ymir calmed her right away with a hand on her shoulder but her look was on the Ambush.

With a sharp exhale, the Ambush proceeded to take a step outside the building, and its body started to turn invisible and it fully vanished without a trace left. The cadets saw it bend forward like a dog before leaving.

"Hey, what was that thing...?" Connie asked.

"Don't you say a word, damnit." Ymir said, taking a few steps back but she knew who the Ambush Titan was. "We don't know if that thing is waiting for the opportunity to kill us..."

"Slowly...take a few steps back..." Krista said.

"Alright..." Connie obeyed.

In reality, Ambush was crawling on four limbs like a wild beast. Ambush growled as it saw more Titans stumble into the streets ahead. Leaping like a cheetah, Ambush climbed onto the buildings and its hands prepared to pounce onto the Titans.

With a loud screech that echoed across Trost, Ambush leaped towards the nape of one Titan and tore the nape clean off with its jaws. The other Titans wavered for a minute, but they fell victim to the attack of the Ambush Titan.

Due to having revealed itself, Ambush was no longer cloaked and it violently killed every Titan that crossed its path. When it was done with a few of them and didn't see anymore, it cloaked itself again with a small hiss.

It continued like that for about thirty minutes. By the inner gates, civilians complained and protested to a merchant whose cart full of goods blocked the entryway. Soldiers tried to plead with him, but the merchant used his position of power to say otherwise as he pointed his finger at them.

Everyone screamed once an Abnormal Titan crashed onto a house ahead and it began to run towards the gates, wanting to eat the civilians. Elite soldiers rushed it down, but it proved to be far too quick for them as they cursed themselves.

They all looked to see Mikasa swoop in to take the kill herself. Mikasa sliced the nape of the Titan perfectly and put her legs on the neck. As the Titan fell forward, Mikasa kept her footing steady as it landed right in front of the civilians. As Mikasa looked back up, the civilians clapped for her.

A little girl with her mother grinned and thanked Mikasa for her actions. In response, Mikasa softly smiled and saluted at her by putting her fist by her heart. Looking towards the merchant, Mikasa proceeded to point her blade to him.

"Move." Mikasa said.

That was when everyone heard the initial screech of the Ambush Titan. Mikasa turned towards the source of the noise, slightly frowning as she looked straight ahead. Discarding her duties, Mikasa proceeded to move towards the noise.

"Ackerman! Get back here!"

Mikasa didn't listen though, for she wanted to find Eren as well. Eren's squad hadn't reported back a long while ago, and she made a promise with him to either of them to not die. Mikasa kept going until she saw cadets ahead, and they all looked lost.

"Mikasa...!" Sasha said.

"Where are the others?" Mikasa asked. "Eren?"

"Armin is over there..." Jean said, pointing towards his left towards a rooftop with a brick chimney, Armin resting on it while staring towards the rooftop without words to say. "...but I wouldn't—"
