Luke hadn't left.
He had stayed at Grace's house overnight, it was like an unsaid thing. Neither of them said he was staying over, but both knew that he would.
They were still in the fort, being suffocated by pillow cases.
The quiet sound of the movie was playing in the background as Grace and Luke looked into each other's eyes, somehow communicating better that way.
Words seemed pointless and meaningless compared to this. For both of the teenagers knew all to well that lies came out too easily through words."Grace...?" Luke whispers against her fingers, which were being pressed against his lips by Luke. She looks at him curiously, before gesturing for him to go on, her wanting to disrupt the silence as little as possible.
He doesn't continue with words though, instead he leans forward and closes his eyes - expecting to be met with her soft lips.
Instead he is just pushed away, making him open his eyes.He sees only her pained and shocked expression, immediately feeling the guilt rush through his body, weighing him down.
"Luke, no! I-I can't do that!" She panics, scrambling out from under him and standing up. He follows, standing up and wiping his palms on his jeans, trying to remove some of the moisture this situation had caused.
