April 24

Mila's POV

Quinn and I have been engaged for a month now and so far we haven't done any planning for  wedding stuff is is fine with me because Quinn has been busy with playoffs.

That's where Quinn is now. It's the game 2 of round one, the twins and I went to the first game but today I felt tried and Quinn insisted I stay home tonight.

The twins and I are obviously still going to watch the game from home.

The twins love staying home but they hardly focuse on the game when we're home but will sit perfectly still and watch in the arena.

Sadly the Canucks lost the game. The twins didn't pay attention to the game at all.

Instead they were both lying next to me talking to my 4 month baby pump. They've seen Quinn do this a couple times and over the last couple weeks have started to as well.

I couldn't here what Charlie and Lacy where talking about, I couldn't be bothered moving so we stayed on the couch till Quinn walked into the apartment, his shoulders slumped and his expression heavy with disappointment.

He dropped his bag by the door and kicked off his shoes, forcing a smile as he saw us on the couch.

"Hey, how's my favorite team?" he asked trying to sound upbeat. "We're good" Charlie said with his smile which was exactly like Quinn's.

I sat up slowly my hand resting on my baby bump. "Come here," I said patting the spot next to me on the couch. "You did your best and that's what matters."

Quinn walked over and sat down, letting out a deep sigh. "Yeah, it's just frustrating. We had a good lead, and then it all fell apart in the third period."

I reached out and took his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "There are more games to come. You guys aren't out of it yet."

"Yeah daddy you win next time" Lacy said happily kissing his kissing his cheek. "Thanks bean" Quinn answered.

Quinn's shoulders seemed to relax a bit as he leaned back against the couch, pulling me closer. He looked down at my baby bump and placed his hand gently on it, his face softening as he felt a slight kick. "How's our little one doing?" he asked.

"Active as ever" I replied with a smile. "Just like their dad."

Charlie and Lacy had been quite for about 5 minutes but sides their peace was over. "Daddy can we help you practice tomorrow?" Charlie asked eagerly, his eyes filled with excitement.

Quinn chuckled softly the sound easing some of the tension in the room. "Sure buddy, we can practice some shots."

Lacy clapped her hands, her face lighting up. "Can hold the stick?"

"Of course" Quinn said ruffling her hair. I watched them, my heart swelling with love for our little family.

Despite the ups and downs, moments like this made everything worth it.
