September

The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden hue over the tranquil waters of the lake. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the soft murmur of guests gathering on the shore. Quinn stood at the edge of the lake, adjusting his tie nervously. The start of the NHL season was just around the corner, but today, all that mattered was Mila and their wedding.

"Quinn, relax. You've faced tougher crowds," Jack, his younger brother, said with a grin.

Quinn chuckled, shaking his head. "This is different. This is Mila."

Luke, the youngest of the brothers, joined them, clapping Quinn on the back. "And it's going to be perfect."

Ellen and Jim, Quinn's parents, were nearby, beaming with pride. "You look handsome, Quinn," Ellen said, straightening his collar. "And Mila will be stunning, as always."

In the cozy cabin by the lake, Mila was getting ready with her little sister, Lottie, and a few close cousins. Lottie, her maid of honor, was bustling around, making sure everything was perfect.

The guests settled into their seats, the gentle lapping of the lake providing a soothing background. Quinn stood at the altar, his heart racing as he watched Mila approach. She was radiant in her flowing gown, a vision of grace and beauty. Quinn's breath caught in his throat.

Mila's gaze locked with Quinn's, and in that moment, the world faded away. All the challenges, the sleepless nights, the anticipation of the NHL season, it all seemed insignificant compared to the love that bound them together.

Lottie walked ahead, scattering petals, her face glowing with happiness. Mila followed, her steps sure and steady. When she reached Quinn, he took her hands, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Dearly beloved," the officiant began, "we are gathered here today to witness the union of Quinn and Mila, two souls destined to be together."

When it was time for the vows, Quinn's voice was steady, filled with emotion. "Mila, from the moment I met you, I knew you were the one. You've given me more than I ever imagined—love, joy, and our beautiful children I promise to stand by you, to support you, and to love you with all that I am, for all the days of my life."

Mila's eyes glistened with tears. "Quinn, you are my rock, my safe haven. Through every challenge, you've been my strength. I promise to love you unconditionally, to cherish every moment we have together, and to build a future filled with laughter, love, and endless possibilities."

The rings were exchanged, simple yet elegant symbols of their commitment. "With this ring, I thee wed," Quinn said, his voice cracking with emotion as he slipped the ring onto Mila's finger.

"With this ring, I thee wed," Mila echoed, her hands trembling slightly as she placed the ring on Quinn's finger.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride," the officiant declared.

Quinn leaned in, capturing Mila's lips in a tender, passionate kiss. The guests erupted in applause, the sound echoing across the lake. Quinn and Mila turned to face their family and friends, their smiles bright and full of joy.

As the celebration continued, the photographer approached Quinn and Mila, gently reminding them it was time for family photos.

The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden glow over the scene. The backdrop of the shimmering lake and the vibrant colors of the setting sun created a perfect, magical ambiance for their photos.

The photographer started with shots of just Quinn, Mila, and their children. Mila held Aria, who was wrapped in a delicate lace blanket, while Quinn stood proudly beside her, his arm around her waist. Charlie and Lacy stood in front, beaming with excitement.
