Jungkook and Taehyung were focused on their studies when Jungkook suddenly handed Taehyung an orange and said, "Take this; it's a gift for you for helping me understand so much about math and science."
Before Jungkook could even finish his sentence, Taehyung had already gobbled down the entire orange in one go. Jungkook's eyes widened as he watched the orange vanish before his very eyes.
"This is something worth eating over four days or more," Jungkook said with a frown on his face.
"Hey, it's just an orange," Taehyung said, wiping the juice from his chin and frowning back at Jungkook.
"Only an orange?!" Jungkook snapped. "You brat! You don't even know the word generosity! I hate you!"
Taehyung didn't know what to say. He had never experienced such a reaction before. "I'm so sorry," he said apologetically. "I didn't know an orange was this precious here."
"Not accepted, and as punishment, you have to play soccer with me now," Jungkook said, his smile wicked. Before Taehyung could say anything, Jungkook grabbed him and dragged him outside.
The night sky was covered in stars, casting a mystical glow over the yard. Jungkook and Taehyung faced each other, ready to begin the game.
The leather soccer ball was passed back and forth between them, with Taehyung chasing after it as Jungkook kicked it with all his might. The moon above them illuminated the field, casting a strange light over the game.
"Soccer at night! What the heck?" Taehyung complained.
"Because there are too many people watching during the day," Jungkook replied, his expression unchanging.
"Also, the goalpost is here; why are you kicking the ball in the air just by standing there?" Taehyung said, exasperated.
"A king has his image," Jungkook replied, his tone imperious. "How can he run?"
