In the heart of Urbs Lushan, amidst the hustle and bustle of Emberforge. Here, where the sun's dying rays paint the ancient city walls with a golden hue, Solstice Dawn stands amidst a flurry of fists and jeers, the victim of a brutal assault.
The first blow lands like a sledgehammer, catching Solstice off guard and sending him sprawling onto the unforgiving cobblestones. Before he can even collect his thoughts, two more strikes follow in quick succession, each one driving the air from his lungs and leaving him gasping for breath.
His assailants, a trio of bullies fueled by cruelty and malice, sneer down at him with twisted grins, their eyes alight with sadistic pleasure. They show no mercy as they rain blow after blow upon Solstice, reveling in the power they wield over their helpless prey.
As the beating continued, Solstice's vision swam with pain, his world reduced to a blur of agony and despair. Every fiber of his being screams for him to fight back, to lash out against his tormentors with all the fury he can muster. But he knows deep down that it's futile, that he's outnumbered, outmatched, and out-skilled.
And so he endured, gritting his teeth against the pain and refusing to give his attackers the satisfaction of seeing him break. He clung to the flicker of defiance burning within him, using it as a lifeline to anchor himself amidst the storm of violence.
Finally, mercifully, the beating comes to an end, and the bullies grow bored with their sport and move on to find other targets. Left alone in the gathering darkness, Solstice struggles to his feet, his body aching and bruised but his spirit unbroken.
As he dusts himself off and limps away from the scene of his humiliation, Solstice knows that this is just the beginning. For tomorrow, when the sun rises anew, he will face an even greater challenge—the Summoning Trials of the Clan of Emberforge. Where he knows this Bruises all across his body will only multiply, because he Solstice Dawn, is the only Aeonshade in the clan whole eternity. With contempt in his heart, Solstice made his way home
