Chapter 5

It's been a week since Monty and Charles busted Kevin and Kermit out of their evil cult.

Kevin started going to therapy. Kermit was also going to "therapy".

Football season was starting soon so Charles was absent from the walks home because he had tryouts after school. Which meant they could only talk over calls or texts, as they didn't have any classes together. Which made Monty feel a longing to see Charles again. And Charles couldn't keep his feelings hidden much longer.

A few days after football tryouts started. Charles finally caught Monty alone.

They were in one of the bathrooms. Monty had just finished washing his hands when Charles stormed in.

"What are you-" Monty started.

"Shut up I have to say this now." Charles said, interrupting Monty.

"Look, when I first got to this school, you were my first friend. And then you introduced me to Kevin and Kermit. And that went kind of downhill with the cult and everything."

Monty let out a small chuckle.

"But, Kevin and Kermit may be people I care about, I care about you more. Like way more. I mean, honestly, I am in love with you Monty."

Monty stared at him.

"And I know you probably don't feel the same because you're-"

Monty grabbed his chin and kissed him.

They stayed like like for what felt like forever. But it was probably only a few minutes.

They pulled apart.

"Well I guess you do feel the same way then."

"Yeah." Monty said. "But hey can we keep this a secret. I don't really know what I am yet so..."

"Hey." Charles grabbed Monty's hand. "I won't tell anyone don't worry."

"Alright I got to go to back to class." Charles said. "See ya round." He gave Monty another kiss and left. Leaving Monty in awe, blushing, at what had just happened.

~Two weeks later~

As football season starts, Kevin becomes more friendly to geese and rocks. And realizes that no rock is "too big for comfort". Kermit has been more distant recently.

There was a big football game coming up in a few days, and Charles gave them all free tickets. So they might finally interact with Kermit.

Charles has a few free nights so him and Monty, went on a few dates. They had great fun. And it helped Monty realize who he is.

~The night of the game~

Monty, Kevin, and Kermit were at Charles big homecoming game. If they won this, nothing would happen besides them getting their first big win of the season. The gang was there for moral support.

The announcer was beginning the game.
