"Annabelle! Get your arse down here!" Maddie Lomax called up the stairs to her daughter.

Sam turned to her daughter. "Do you have to be so loud?" She asked as she rolled her eyes.

"Charming. She needs to wake up."

Peri came downstairs. "Belle isn't even here. Her bed hasn't been slept in," she told her sister.

Maddie swore and ran up the stairs. She walked into her daughter's bedroom. "You little bitch I'm going to kill you."

Sam walked in and sighed. "You need to reel her in. She's fifteen years old. She shouldn't be staying out all night. And you didn't even know."

Maddie rolled her eyes. "Don't tell me how to be a parent. I know what I'm doing. I did raise her," she told her.

Sam scoffed. "You had her at a young age. And you have done well. But you're letting her run wild," she said.

Maddie scoffed and shook her head. "I'm doing the best that I can. She is a teenager. And they're not easy."

"At least she's not getting pregnant by her headteacher," Sam said as she walked off.

Maddie shook her head. She had always done her best for Annabelle. Despite how hard it had been for her.

Maddie had given birth to Annabelle when she was fifteen years old. She was the result of an affair Maddie had with her headteacher. Patrick Blake.

The front door opened and Annabelle walked in. Maddie walked downstairs. "Where the hell have you been?" She asked.

Annabelle smiled as she held up bags. "Greggs! I bought us all donuts."

Maddie blinked a couple of times. She looked to her daughter in disbelief. "You... you went to Greggs?" She asked.

Annabelle nodded. "I did. Did you miss me?"

"I swear to god you were switched at birth."

Annabelle shrugged and smiled. "Explains it. I'm too fabulous to be your daughter. Maybe my real parents are rich people."

Maddie raised her eyebrows. "You wish babes. You realise we're moving today?"

"No shit."

Maddie slapped the back of Annabelle's head. "You're grounded. For the rest of your life," she told her as she took the bags from her. "You better not have used my card."

Annabelle shook her head. "I do have money you know. Full time student. Part time hoe," she said with a grin.

Maddie groaned. "Who raised you when I wasn't looking?"

"I don't know. Not my dad."

"Don't even go there lady."

A few days later, Annabelle was stood in her bedroom in her new house. She frowned as she thought about how boring it seemed around the village.

She looked up as Maddie walked in. "I know it's not your scene around here. But give it a chance. You have me here. So we're going through this together," she told her.

Annabelle sighed and nodded. "I know. I just don't like it here already. Can we not just go back home?" She asked.

"I wish we could. You'll see, it will be okay here. I promise."

Annabelle groaned. She shook her head. "I hate when you make promises. Means it usually happens," she said. She sighed. "Fine. I'll give it a week. If I don't like it, I'll turn to the streets and make money that way."

Maddie rolled her eyes. She knew how Annabelle had a sarcastic personality. It's what she loved about her little girl.

Annabelle walked through the village. She was trying to find something to do. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going when she bumped into someone. "Watch it," she said as she looked up into the eyes of a man.

"You watch it princess."

Annabelle smirked and looked to him. "I'm guessing you think you're the big top dog around here. You strike me as the intimidating type. Well you don't intimidate me."

"You don't know who you're talking to. You don't know my name."

"Oh honey the only names I remember are the ones I'll be screaming," Annabelle said with a wink and walked off.

She looked around and grinned. The village had no idea what had hit them. But Annabelle had no idea how she was about to come face to face with her father. And how truths were about to come spilling out.
