Maddie walked into Annabelle's bedroom. She saw her daughter hiding under the duvet. "Come on. I think we need to talk," she said as she looked to her.
Annabelle lifted her head from under the cover and shook her head. "I didn't know."
Maddie smiled and joined her in bed. She pulled her close. "I'm not mad. Disappointed? Yes. But I'm not mad. And whatever you wanna do, I will support you. You wanna keep it? I'm a grandmother. If you don't, I'll hold your hand every step of the way," she told her.
Annabelle turned to her. "Would you be mad? If I didn't keep it? You did amazing with me. But I'm not half the person you are. And... I don't think I can do it."
"Honey. I could never be mad at you."
Annabelle wiped away her tears. She looked to her. "I think I want to have an abortion. Can you come with me?" She asked.
Maddie nodded and smiled. She looked to her daughter. "I'll hold your hand the whole time. But we do need to have a chat. About who got you pregnant."
Annabelle turned away from her. She shook her head. "It doesn't matter who."
"An older boy?" Maddie asked as she stroked the top of Annabelle's head. "Anna. Come on sweetie. I've always told you that you can talk to me."
Annabelle looked to her. She sighed. "Robbie Roscoe. You can't tell my dad. He will lock me up. Like he did with Sienna," she sobbed.
Maddie held her close. "Do you really think I'd let him do that to you? I'm your mum. Have I not always protected you?"
Annabelle nodded. She cuddled into her. "Please don't tell dad. No one needs to know. Please mum.""If you don't want him to know, then he doesn't have to. This can be our secret. I promise you," Maddie told her daughter.
Annabelle cuddled into her mum and sighed. "I'm sorry. I messed up."
"We all make mistakes. Especially when we're young," Maddie said. She felt Annabelle pulling away from her. "I didn't mean you."
"I was a mistake?" Annabelle asked.
"No. You weren't planned. But I wanted you more than I ever wanted anything. Has it been easy? Hell no. But i would never change it. I love you endlessly my angel."

Patrick saw Annabelle walking through the village and sighed. "You're supposed to be in school Annabelle," he said.
Annabelle shrugged and looked to him. "I'm not well. Clearly. Otherwise I would be there," she told him.
Patrick frowned. "Well if you're not well, you should be at home. Not wandering the streets."
Annabelle rolled her eyes. "You're my dad, yes. But you need to back off. My mum said I can have the day off due to being in hospital. So leave me alone! Don't play the concerned father now," she spat as she walked off.

Maddie was in price slice when Patrick walked over to her. "Annabelle."
"Yes. Fifteen years old. Blonde hair. Rather tiny. Cute as a button. What about her?" Maddie asked as she looked to him.
"She has just been disrespectful. Telling me to not play the concerned father. What is going on with her Madeline?" Patrick asked.
Maddie sighed. "She's not doing too well at the moment. I told her she could take a couple of days off to get better. Given that she collapsed in the street. So go easy on her."
