The three of us stand in amazement as we witness the grand party before us. The domed ceiling has been enchanted to resemble the star filled sky, with a large blue moon effortlessly stealing the attention from the entire room. The luminance of the moon casts an ambient, deep blue hue onto the stone floors.
By the amount of students already here, you would think that we have arrived late to the party. What used to be the quiet, studious, Ravenclaw common room, is now subject to a flock of drunken, birdbrain buffoons.
Beneath the great moon, inebriated students from all four houses dance in rhythm to the loud, booming music that plays over the gigantic gramophone.
The most shocking thing about the whole scene though is that...
He did it.
Duncan Hobhouse has some how managed to pull off the kind of party that people will be gossiping about in the castle hallways for days.
"Merlin's beard." Sebastian says while watching the commotion in front of us. "I didn't think Hobhouse would have it in him to throw a party like this."
I look over at Ominis and see the slightest disappointment in his face. His enemy has done something cool and it was hard for him to witness it.
"Me neither. Who knew that a social outcast such as Puffskein Dunkein could have fun...I'm almost impressed." Ominis replies casually.
The three of us make our way to the drink table that is set up along a row of windows towering the face of the room. Sebastian serves himself a cup of punch while I grab one for Ominis and myself.
"Hmm...do you think this punch is spiked?" Ominis asks taking a small sniff of his cup.
I watch as Sebastian locks his deep brown eyes onto a pretty Hufflepuff girl having the time of her life on the dance floor. The corners of his lips tug into a soft smile as he watches her. "I would be disappointed if it wasn't." He says casually, replying to our friend.
Ominis takes a sip of the blue coloured punch and then licks his soft lips. "Definitely spiked."
The Hufflepuff girl meets Sebastian's gaze and gives him a sultry wink as a return. This flirtatious exchange lights a fire in the pit of my stomach. I hate when he behaves like this in front of me and he knows that. I bring the cup of punch to my mouth and down its entirety.
Ominis must have heard my subtle chugging over the loud music because he turns his unseeing gaze towards me and says, "Careful Darling, drink too much of this and even Garreth Weasley will start to look like a good option to bring to bed tonight."
Sebastian chuckles. "If he can make it past our desperate hands, that is." He then mirrors my action and swigs back his entire drink as well.
At this point I'm used to Sebastian's flirtatious comments towards me, he knows that we have our own personal line in our friendship that he dares not to cross. Although at times he will be daring and step beyond it.
As I watch an enchanted comet sore across the room, I see a familiar freckled face come into view and I let out a small disappointed sigh.
Garreth Weasley.
Don't get me wrong, I like Garreth but I know how he behaves at parties when he's pissed out of his mind. He becomes disastrous.
Sebastian notices the slight change of annoyance in my face and follows my view. "Ahh... speak of the stupid prick himself." He says while filling up his empty cup.
"Sebastian, Ominis, and the Queen of the Blue Flame, herself!" Garreth exclaims with his arms open as a welcoming gesture. "Surprised to see you three here..."
