Ominis huffs, "Oh Darling, I only hope that one day Sebastian will see our perspective on this."

Sebastian had just left in a fury less than ten minutes ago. I'm used to him and Ominis getting into little spats all the time.

So why does this time feel so different?

"Can... can I take your hand?" Ominis says to me, snapping my attention back to him.

His palm lies open, resting on the arm of his chair. Without a second thought, I bring my hand to his, interlocking our fingers together. Ominis's long, thin fingers feel cool to the touch. His beauty marks embellish his hands like constellations in a clear, night sky. They are the most well manicured hands I've ever seen, even more so than my own.

Ominis sighs, "Mmm... you're nice and warm."

He turns his head towards the fireplace. If I didn't know him well enough, it looks like he's staring directly into the fire.

"Do you ever think about the day we first met?" His posh accent is barely above a whisper.

"You approached me in the common room, while I was teasing first years about spotting mermaids out the window. I'll never forget the tone of your voice, shy, yet determined. I think about that day whenever i'm having a bad one."

I smile at him and use my thumb to rub his hand that's entwined in mine. A comforting gesture that goes a long way with him. Ominis exchanges my intimate act for a grateful smirk.

"Good evening, is this seat taken?"

I turn my head and see Garreth standing over the two of us.

I see Ominis grit his teeth together as the familiar voice pierces our ears, he removes his hand from mine and places it back onto his own lap.

"Garreth! What the fuck are you doing here?! Talking to her nonetheless." He spits.

Usually Ominis will make a conscious effort to refrain from uttering curses in front of me, as he prides himself in being the perfect gentleman. Although, he doesn't count the occurrences when he's defending my honour, or is just down right annoyed by stupidity.

"I came here to apologize to her." Weasley says while filling the empty seat where Sebastian was once present, minutes ago.

Ominis scoffs at the apologetic man's statement. "You do owe her that at minimum... but mark my words Weasley, if Sebastian sees you here, you're done for."

"I actually just had a word with him outside." Garreth replies.

"And you're still alive?!" Ominis snips back at him.

Garreth focuses his gaze back towards me. His bright green eyes take on a soft, apologetic appearance.

"Look, Angel. I'm so sorry. I should have never called you those horrible things, I wasn't thinking clearly."

He continues,"I'm seriously forever in your debt. I'm a fucking idiot!"

Ominis lets out a sarcastic chuckle in response to our Gryffindor acquaintance's apology.

Garreth's posture stiffens and turns back to Ominis in annoyance.

"Can her and I have a moment alone, Ominis."
