Just a Bunch of Random Stories

The hero finally snapped and became the villain

For those who give it their all,

Only to be shot down.

I hope you know that your efforts are worthy,

Even if it's just to me,

So keep trying because, you'll get there one day,

And I'll be cheering you on the entire time

She jumped up into the burning building, people running out, and broke the window, rolling onto the ground. She held a hand to her nose and mouth so she didn't breath in as much smoke, and looked around for anyone who might have been left behind. As she spotted someone, she ran towards them, and picked them up.

"Is there anyone else left?" she asked as she ran back to the window. The person shook their head, seemingly annoyed, and said "No, no it's just me, now hurry up!"

"O-oh sorry" she said, jumping out the window, right as the building collapsed, and landed, putting the person down on the ground. Her head turned sharply to the side, and she put a hand to her cheek which was now stinging with the pain of being slapped.

"......." she stood there in shock as the person yelled at her for not saving them fast enough. Her vision turned red, and her hands began trembling.

She stared at the ground, panting, bloody hands clenched into fists, trembling. She'd done it. She'd finally snapped. The villain had a huge grin on his face as he watched her.

She looked up, a murderous gleam in her eyes as she looked around the group of people that were starting to gather around the centre of destruction. Murmurers were heard from the crowd, but she didn't care. She'd been asked of too much, and they got too greedy.

She flinched as someone threw a rock at her, though it missed and clattered at her feet. That initial rock seemed to open the door, because several rocks and other things were thrown at her after that. She stood there and let them hit her.

She looked up in slowly in surprise as she felt the rocks stop. She saw the purple energy that the villain had, being used as a shield, and the villain in front of her, a big grin on his face.

"Welcome to my side" he whispered to her. Grabbing her arm, they teleported away, ready to begin her villainous arch, and get revenge on the city and their greedy, truly villainous ways.
