CH.19

A horn honking stops everyone from what they are doing as they turn towards the noise. Jorge screams, driving the truck straight into a helicopter, sending the blades, and part of it flying towards everyone.

"Look out!" They duck down to the floor to not get hit. Everyone starts fighting back, and Minho pulls Thea behind a box for cover.

"Don't ever do that to me again!" Minho says, wrapping his arms around her, hugging her.

"Minho! We're in the middle of a fight!" She yells, bringing him back to the real world.

Thea tries to run towards Thomas to get him off the ground, but Minho grabs her from behind, pulling her back. "Minho he's gonna get captur-"

She's cut off by Minho, putting his lips onto hers. The whole world just stopped for her, nothing matters other than her and Minho. He pulls off sooner than she wants. "I love you." He says, looking into her eyes. He looks at her for a few more seconds before turning and sprinting off to help Vince.

Thea stands there for a second before turning to see Janson cock his gun and point it at Thomas. She runs towards them picking up a gun from off the floor and aims it towards him but he's taken to the floor by Brenda who shoots him in the shoulder.

Thomas runs off and Thea runs towards Janson kicking him in the side. "Let's see how you like being abused. Yeah?" She says taunting him.

Janson sweeps his legs round taking her to the floor making her hit her head on the floor again. She groaned as her vision went blurry but quickly cleared up. She went to stand up but Janson, who was standing, kicked her down.

"I should've let them guards kill you but of course your mother wanted you alive. Not anymore." Janson pointed his gun at her.

"She's not my mother!" Thea shouted, kicking her leg up and at the gun. She rolled to her side away from Janson and stood up again. Thea punched him in the face and kicked him in the stomach. He fell to the floor and grabbed a metal pole swinging it to her face. She fell to the floor but quickly got back up groaning a little.

"Minho!" She heard Thomas yell making her turn to see guards dragging Minho towards the berg and Thomas being held back by Jorge.

"Minho!" Thea yelled going to run towards him but stopped by Janson who stood in front of her.

"Don't worry, we'll take good care of him for you." Janson said with an evil grin.

A gun shot was heard this time much closer to Thea and Janson pulled away running to the berg. Thea took a step to move but suddenly felt a pain in her chest. She looked down and saw the blood seeping through her jacket. "No. Not when Minhos is in trouble." Thea muttered to herself taking a few more steps but falling to the floor.

The last of the guards entered the berg and it pulled away flying into the air and headed towards the compound. The remaining survivors watched as it flew away before taking in who survived and the remaining of the camp.

"Thea? Where's Thea?!" Newt yelled looking around at the remaining survivors.

"There!" Brenda shouted pointing towards her and began running towards her with the others. Thea was lying on her back gasping for air.

"Thea! Thea." Newt slid on his knees reaching her.

Vince, Brenda, Jorge, Harriet and the gladers other than Minho surrounded her. She had tears in her eyes and was gasping for air.

"It's alright. We're here, you're going to be okay. We'll save you, I promise." Newt pulled her head into his lap with tears brewing in his eyes.

Jorge was hugging Brenda who had her head into his shoulder, Vince and Harriet were knelt down next to her looking at her injuries, and Thomas and Fry had their hands on Newt's shoulders.

"I didn't get to say it back." Thea felt tears fall down her cheeks as she spoke, still gasping for air. "I didn't get to say it back. He told me he loved me and I'll never get to say it back."

"No you will. Because you'll survive and we will save him, we will save them all. Remember your promise to Lizzie, remember you said you'd never leave us. Don't leave us now." Newt pleaded her as tears flew down his cheeks. Thea nodded through tears and closed her eyes.

"Don't close your eyes!" Vince shouted at her.

Thea opened her eyes but felt them slowly closing again, "I'm sorry." She whispered before her eyes closed fully.

"Someone help me! Any medic supplies get them and bring them here now!" Vince yelled orders to the other survivors.

"No, no please. Not now, not when I just got my sister back." Newt pleaded.

Fry had to look away and cover his mouth as he cried and Thomas sank to his knees as well. Brenda sobbed into Jorges shoulder and Jorges eyes filled with tears but he didn't let them fall.
