Chapter 3: Rooten Family and Death Lives with Fashioned Values.

Once Stewie was in his bedroom, He held his hands on his knees and panted heavily. He trembled, feeling tears build up in his eyes. He wiped them away before anyone could see. Or so he thought anyone could see.

“Keep it together, Stewie. Keep it together.”

He repeated to himself in his head. He then took a look around his room and took a deep breath. “I’ve got to get out of here. I’ve got to get us out of here. Brian we need to-” It was at this point he realized…Brian wasn’t with him.

“Brian? Brian where did you go? Brian?”

He trembled harshly, feeling the tears well up in his eyes again. “Brian…Brian this isn’t funny. Y-You can’t leave me alone like that, not with them downstairs!” He called out in a panic.

Then there were footsteps.

Stewie perked up in relief and happiness. “Oh thank God you’re alright, Brian! For a second I thought you were-” He was cut off by Brian’s voice.

“Hey Stewie.”

Stewie backed against the wall, looking at what became of his best friend. He shook his head frantically, repeating the words “No.” and “Brian please.” over and over again. Brian, with his glitched mimic voice, tries to coax him into the glitch. To which Stewie refused.

It wasn’t until Peter came into the room did things change.

Peter, at the same time as Brian, tries to coax Stewie into the glitch. But suddenly Peter’s voice turns normal. He fights against the glitch and is suddenly spat out, landing next to Stewie. Stewie is happy to see this and is suddenly pulled into Peter’s arms, fighting against the Glitched Brian. "I'm not letting some vile bastard come near my kid like you did with Meg and Chris!! You wanna get to him, you'll have to get through me!!!" Glitch Brian took that as a challenge.

Then a Glitched Lois enters the room. She, seeing Peter in his normal state, tries to fight against the glitch as well. Peter tries to help her out while Stewie tries to help Brian out of the glitch. Brian, in a moment of resilience, tells Stewie to leave him, to not try. Lois, in her resilient state, speaks once more, slightly normally. “Stewie…I’m sorry…Please forgive mommy..” And As she was about to hit him, he used his weapon to teleport away from them, leaving Peter to fight Brian. The glitch made Brian weaker mentally as they continued fighting. Once they stopped, Peter jumped out the window. 

Peter sees Keith run to him and drag him away from the house, trying to run away from the Glitch that was chasing them at a very fast pace. Keith tries to encourage Peter to run faster so he won’t be caught, but Peter counteracts, saying that he’s trying. 

He sees his family and goes ballistic, trying to run faster, as in his mind, Peter needs to do this, to save his family. To avenge them. His eyes turn a pure white color as he hears the glitch try to control him.

But he refused.

He runs faster, catching up to Keith who then leads him away from the glitch. He looked at Peter once they were in a safe area, resting his hands on his knees. “Are…huff Are you ok…?” He spoke in pants. Peter nodded and panted heavily, resting his hands on his knees. “I…huff I think so…” He looked at Keith and furrowed his brows. “Are you ok…? I know being thrown out of a window isn’t ideal.” 

Keith nodded, resting against the wall. “Yeah..sorta..” He looked at Peter and smiled slightly. “Don’t worry….We’ll find a cure for this. You’ll get your family back..” 

Peter looked back at him and then down at the concrete. “Thanks..But I’d rather not get my hopes up..” He had a determined look on his face. “I just need to find my friends and Stewie….And then we’re getting the hell out of here.” 

—Meanwhile—

Peter’s friends; Quagmire and Cleveland, were in the Drunken Clam. Quagmire was trying to release Cleveland from the Glitch as Cleveland tried to coax him to join him in the Glitch. 

Quagmire refused. 

Soon Joe came into the bar and joined in, trying to get Cleveland away from the glitch, to free him. Quagmire and Joe both could hear Cleveland’s pleas to be let out. And soon enough, after a lot of resilience from Cleveland, the encouragement from his friends and the weakening of the Glitch from Joe shooting it, Cleveland was free. 

But then there was another problem..Retep. They fought the glitch again to free him too, although reluctant to, they all agreed they needed every able body they could get. And so after the same process with Retep, he was free. He stared at the guys for a moment and nodded in thanks before he ran out of the bar to try and find his own family, which was his adopted son, Stew/Evil Stewie. And with that, the trio went their separate ways, seeing if they could find any survivors.
