Molly

It was always a rush in the mornings, only just running on time I grabbed my keys and bag and ran out the door forgetting to check my outfit or hair in the mirror. Today was possibly the biggest day in my whole career, I had an interview with the production team for one of the biggest YouTube groups in the whole of the UK.

This had been a dream of mine for years, always talking to my friends about how one day I would be a producer, I'd had originally thought it would have been for tv and not a group of youtubers, but who was I to complain, it was a step in the door for me and I am so excited for this opportunity.

Arriving at the studio earlier than expected, only by 5 minutes, I decided to try and calm myself down, I hadn't actually got the job yet, I crossed the street and sat down on a bench opposite the studio, pulling out my phone to text the only person I could think would calm my nerves.

Mollymoo <3

I've never been so nervous in my life :/

Becks <3

babe, don't stress! it will go perfectly fine, you and I both know it will

Mollymoo <3

I'm trying not to beck, i just really need this :/ it's the right step in my career that i need

Becks <3

I know lovely, just do what you always do and impress the shit out of them, how can they say no? its you were talking about, miss molly moo

I could always count on my best friend Becky to make me feel better, we had worked on a couple of projects together whilst I was studying at university in London, Becky had hired me to help with some of her videos and we've been best friends since, I still occasionally helped out for Becky's channel but we both knew I couldn't do freelancing forever. Becky was already friends with the sidemen and their producers and had put a good word in for me which made me a little less nervous knowing they had already heard good things.

With the time of the interview drawing closer, I stood up and brushed myself off, I crossed the street and stood just in front of the entrance to the studio, quickly taking a look at my refection in the window I decided that I looked presentable enough and walked into the building to the front desk.

The foyer was exactly what I was expecting, super modern and kind of industrial looking, cement floors and high ceilings, LED light displays took over the walls with the signature SDMN neon sign right ahead of me. Taking it all in before walking over to the reception desk, I looked around baffled that at the thought of this potentially being my new workplace.

Finally stepping forward I smiled at the girl sat behind the reception desk, receiving a warm smile back I instantly felt at ease. "Hiya! My name is Molly, I'm here for an interview" I said kindly to the girl smiling back at me. "Hi Molly, its lovely to meet you, my name is Jess, do you know who will be doing your interview today?", "I believe its supposed to be with Kon?" "Amazing! you'll have a blast! if you take a seat over there in our waiting area I'll call him down to come and get you. Can i get you a drink of anything whilst you wait?" I smiled at jess whilst she explained where to go and sit. "Could I just get some water please?" I asked, I didn't know how long I would have to wait before Kon was ready to do my interview so I went with the safest option. Jess nodded and disappeared out the back of the reception area, returning shortly with a cold bottle of water.
