Takahe

Lincoln, Penny, Hilda, and Charlie were seen looking for prey. There was plenty of prey. More specifically the invasive species. However, some might prove to be challenging otherwise. The wolves split up to find prey. Penny sniffs around for prey. She then looks around to see a large European hare grazing nearby. She then runs forward to catch it and chases after it, but the hare then gets snatched by a Haast's eagle. Much to her dismay.

Hilda was also seen hunting for food. She chased after a brushtail possum, but the marsupial was too fast as it then ran up a tree. And because it was arboreal, Hilda couldn't get it. And to make matters worse, a large colony of them was present as they then scared her off.

As for Charlie, she attempted to hunt rabbits, stoats, ferrets, weasels, feral cats, and hedgehogs, but those proved futile though. She'd almost caught one of the rabbits, but they ran into a deep burrow together. The stoats, ferrets, and weasels were too fast for her as they climbed up trees or ran into burrows too. The feral cats were very much too aggressive. And the hedgehogs were too spiny to take on.

But for Lincoln, he has managed to run down a wallaby. The wallabies were smaller and only when 30 miles per hour, while a grey wolf can go up to 31-37. Making it easier for Lincoln. He has hunted wallabies before, as well too. Though, those were other smaller ones like quokkas and pademelons. Larger ones however, like kangaroos and wallaroos were simply too fast and aggressive, especially the red kangaroos. And tree-kangaroos on the other hand, were mostly arboreal. And those said macropods are ones that escaped from zoos, safari parks, exotic farms, etc.

Charlie, Hilda, and Penny soon found him and ate with him. They then met up with the bear brothers, who in turn met their new friend, a (South Island) Takahe, whose name was well... Takahe. However, he didn't look like a normal one, due to him being completely naked of his feathers like a plucked chicken carcass.

And to make matters worse, he is pretty frightened as the sight of them, due to him being wary of large mammals. Especially large grazers like deer and elk, who now take over the grazing grounds of his species. And it was further more proven when they heard a loud bugle in the background.
